If you are looking for a local gastronomic experience, I highly recommend this place. Small, welcoming and service starts at the door. I was passing by on the street and the very friendly attendant invited me in. He recommended the fresh fish of the day and the experience was incredible.The Colombian attendant really has an unparalleled friendliness, making me feel right at home.Thank you for this wonderful experience!
Stumbled upon this area by chance at a bus stop, which is apparently in transitionJust wanted to eat a little something and ordered fish with 1/2 portion each.It turned out that 1 serving would have been enough. My small portion consisted of 8 sardines with sweet potato in garlic butter. Excellent.My wife's fish was also very good, but in our opinion it wasn't swordfish as advertised on the menu. I know most of the best known restaurants in Matosinhos and at O Barco Velho it was the 1st time. I went there on the recommendation of a friend and became a customer.Modest place but where the friendliness, care and proximity of the staff is to be valued. All with great quality, well prepared, well-roasted sardines. Very good recommendations for the house wines. I recommend it, make sure to check out some ``great`` and more ostentatious restaurants close by.
