Swaad is a beautiful restaurant with very warm welcoming atmosphere and the staff are very friendly. This authentic south indian restaurant based in north of portugal, in PORTO, is a must visit for everyone. The food is delicious and comforting. I’ve lost words to describe the feeling i experienced.

We had dinner here the other night and I have to say it was an incredible surprise and pleasure. This is not just Indian food, it's southern Indian cuisine. The flavors were so wonderful, complex and satisfying. The dishes were beautifully prepared and plentiful proportions. The staff, friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. I love Indian cuisine and this southern style is so unique and incredible. It makes it hard to go back to traditional northern cuisine that seems boring by comparison. I can't recommend Swaad more highly. We will be coming back often. I am excited to learn they are open for lunch as they are near my studio. I will be a regular to be sure.

Vegetarian options: Being Indian cuisine there were many vegetarian and vegan options.

Dosa and sambar is not good as it should be

Kerala parotha is very good
Chicken curry is amazing never had anywhere before ( really delicious )
Vada was between tasty and average

My Personal experience of take away is not good
Not disappointed but not very very happy

A suggestion to owner kindly stop parcelling pani puri because it gets soggy until reaching home ( I am just 500 mtr away from the restaurant )
And second one is do not fry poori in oil try microwave them will be more crispy and healthy… I do it at home
Panipuri I ordered because in your menu it showing sooji one not the one you serving ready made

Restaurant with South Indian cuisine. A little different from traditional Indian food. I recommend it to anyone who appreciates this type of delicacy.

Excellent food, excellent flavor.
The only downside is that the service is anything but in Portuguese!! Unfortunately, this discourages people from coming here regularly.
And maybe that's why it almost always has an occupancy rate below 20%!!
Think about it!!

Good service. The food is delicious, but the prices are very high. A small loaf of bread for 3 euros. In the vegetable stew for 9 Euros, several pieces of vegetables swim in the sauce, more like a soup. Rice or bread for curry must be paid separately. It turns out to be unreasonably expensive for Indian food.

The visit to the South Indian restaurant in Porto today with my brother was quite disappointing. The service was the worst I have ever experienced in my city. Our simple order of 2 masala dosa was not taken into consideration, and when they finally brought one, there were issues with the preparation of the second. Although the manager promised to compensate by offering a free appam, all items ended up being charged on the bill. While I understand mistakes can happen, it is important to maintain honesty and integrity, especially when operating in a beautiful city like Porto. The staff seemed indifferent and irresponsible. After eating, I even had to visit the hospital. The bill, food smell, and overall experience were not pleasant. Beware of fake reviews and the lack of hospitality towards customers. If you're looking to make a trip to the hospital, then this restaurant might just be the perfect choice for you.

Best Indian food we ever had. The staff was so lovely and helpful, they answered loads of our questions. The shrimp curry and carrot dessert are a must try. Great, cannot recommend enough! Go and try! So many veggies options too
