We had a fish soup followed by the fish called Jonh Dory and a bottle of Vinho Verde. Our waiter could not speak English but we loved him.
Food and service was really good! The fish was fresh and very delicious.
Superb fish restaurant - booking recommended. Grilled sardines, turbot and fish soup were excellent.
Go for sea pass it is amazing, good quality food
The fish was beautifully cooked, and the service was great. We had a table of 4 plus 2 toddlers.
The grilled fish is good but the service is awful. The guy responsible by reservation is rude and you can get similar grilled fish in similar restaurants near
When we arrived they offered us olives and bread which we didn't want, but it was added to the bill. When I asked about it, they just took the bill, deleted it and brought new one without explanation or anything. Obviously 2-3 EUR are not important, I do not want someone to make me a fool. I would not recommend this place.
Restaurant São Valentim is a great option for anyone looking to experience traditional Portuguese cuisine in a charming and cozy . The restaurant offers a variety of traditional Portuguese dishes, such as grilled octopus, bacalhau (codfish), and francesinha (a typical Porto sandwich). The food is prepared with fresh, local ingredients and is presented in a beautiful and appetizing way. Portugal is known for its delicious wines, and São Valentim is no exception. The restaurant offers a wide selection of Portuguese wines, including Vinho Verde and Port wine. The staff are knowledgeable and can help you choose the perfect wine to pair with your meal. Despite its high-quality food and excellent wine selection, Restaurant São Valentim is relatively affordable, making it a great choice for budget-conscious travelers.

THE Valentim in Matosinhos. The Food is delicious, the service is top! Thanks for the wonderful evening! ?
Service okay, vegetables soup not edible (potato/red beans/preserve cabbage....) Grilled fish was super salty, clams was also way too salty, bill was wrong with extra bred and olives....
Over a week in Porto, we ate here 4 times, and each time the grilled fish and service were top notch. Daniel, our server took such good care of us. The sea bass, sole, snapper and mackerel were expertly grilled to perfection. You cannot beat this spot if you want to have fresh grilled fish. Definitely a favorite spot for lunch sitting outside under the shady umbrella. There are many options in this area, but we prefer this one the best.
good fish (dourada and robalo) but extremely overpriced Codfish ????????meal was good, staff is quite friendly and food is well delivered but 100 euros for 2 adults + kid was unexpected (specially as no wine, no starters and no deserts).codfish for one was 40 euros ????????♂️????????♂️would rate 4 if it wasn’t for the nonsense pricing
Great food from the grill, friendly service. Authentic Atlantic fish from the grill, served with anything you can wish.
