We were in a hotel near the restaurant and based on the reviews we decided to go to dinner. When we saw the price of the menu it seemed exorbitant since it seems to be in the middle of Ribeira, however we stayed to have two beers. I got up to tell the waiter that I wanted them small and he said ok (I saw that the waitress at the bar was filling a 0.50 cl balloon glass and that the same waiter was telling her that they were small). When he brings me the 2 BIG glasses he tells me that the 2 glasses were already thrown away (LIE), since I don't know about you gentleman but I have also been a waitress and when the customer changes his mind in 1' he simply has to determine change what you have ordered whether they are thrown or not.
However, as expected, he charged us €15 for two beers, a real scam.

We were here relatively shortly after opening time and were warmly welcomed and were seated straight away. We ordered a bolognese and a pizza with ham and mushrooms, which came quickly and were very tasty. The portion size was also good and the service was really nice and accommodating. The whole atmosphere looked very nice and you felt comfortable. The only drawback would be the price. The quality of the food was good, but the prices still seemed a bit too high.

Excellent experience at Trattoria Romana! It was so good that we went back the next day to try other dishes and take my husband's aunt. We ate dishes 171, 172 and 173! They were all delicious! ? We will definitely be back, not only because of the very well-made and tasty food, but also because of the great service.
