We had suckling pig (€50/kg) with salad and rice. Pig was very meaty and juicy with crispy skin. Service was good. We were able to get seated for an early dinner (18:30) even though we were the only ones in the place. Some other restaurants don’t open until 19:00 or 19:30.
Fantastic experience. The kindest and most hospitable staff, only to be topped by the incredible delicacy of the suckling pig, paired with the local sparkling wine. And the desserts - the stuff of dreams. Just when we thought things couldn't get any better, we were offered a glimpse into the wood fired ovens at the back of the property to witness this time-honoured process. I will never forget this meal - a highlight of our trip to Portugal.
