Lunch time 5th July, this was our second visit to Mêda in the space of a few weeks after this establishment was recommended to us. It did not disappoint the first time and we were delighted to return. It was pleasant to have been recognised when we took our seats, at the same table as the first time. The staff is welcoming and efficient. The place is popular, clean and best of all has no television distracting everyone from their lunch. Week days, it's all about the daily menu, 11 euros all inclusive. A basket of good bread and some nice olives to start, a litre of red or white vinho de casa for 2, then the soup, whatever has been made that day. A choice of 2 main dishes which consists of a meat or a fish. A choice of the usual Portuguese home-made deserts, except this time the pudim flan is made with some port, very nice. Coffee to end and a perfect light bill. Of course you can also choose à la carte dishes and they have a great selection of regional wines by the bottle. A great address which we highly recommend with ample parking across the the restaurant and a well shaded terrace if you want a drink or even eat outside. Opens at midday, we arrived 15 minutes early and it was no bother for them to serve us some refreshment under the parasols until we could get in.

I was passing through and for those who arrived "out of hours" at 2.15pm... we were treated very well.
Good service, excellent homemade food, welcoming family atmosphere, I can only say thank you very much.
Obviously I recommend it.
To be repeated another time, of course.

The best restaurant in Portugal where friendliness and quality of food reign supreme. There is nothing better than a poor meal accompanied by good wine and red fruit pavet for dessert. A perfect day is to stroll through Marialva, Trancoso and have lunch at Sete e Meio na Meda

Went there in December and it was very, very cold inside. Almost the same as outside. The food was okish. Ordered the posta, which is supposed to be a tender meat and it wasn’t.It does have a good wine selection and they’re on the cheaper side.
