A Melides classic. Always competent, doesn't disappoint but doesn't surprise either.

Very good, the brothers Carlos and José with their respective families are spectacular.

I recommend.
Although we had to wait to get a seat, it was definitely worth it.
I also recommend Aunt Rosa's farófias for dessert ?? the best farófias I've eaten to date.

The expectations were too high, I had been wanting to come and eat at this restaurant for some time, because of the famous duck ?. It's more fame than anything else, nothing special for such fame, too much fat in the dish, and the rice to accompany it has too much offal (you don't need so many). I've had much better duck for sure. Service too slow and not very friendly.

Experience not to be repeated!
We went for lunch influenced by the positive reviews we read on Google, but upon arrival we were disappointed with the long waiting time, as the restaurant, despite apparently being full, had empty tables, which, according to them, were reserved and thus remained empty during about 1 hour. Furthermore, we questioned the possibility of eating outside, that is, on the terrace, and we were told that this was not possible. However, we noticed that, while we waited for a table inside and finally had lunch, we saw that at least four groups/four tables were served outside. That wasn't enough, we ordered two dishes of the day, namely pork shank and turkey kebab, which were terrible. The ham was practically bone and fat and the kebabs were tough.
The girl who served us was super unfriendly and unhelpful, once she wasn't even able to bring the starter dishes and it seemed like she was doing us a great favor by serving us.
What's more, it was clear from our experience and reactions from other diners, that the restaurant is set up for just one dish: duck.

Great food and suitable for children. The duck is exceptional, as is the chicken soup.
Kid-friendliness: Highchairs and food for example (roasted chicken and chicken soup were suitable for children)

We came after reading an article in Visão magazine, we fell in love with the house specialty, oven-roasted duck, I recommend it, definitely repeating it.
