“Food was excellent!!!! The atmosphere as well!
Unfortunately we recommend to check the bill in the end! There were other prices than in the menue! After asking it was corrected immediately but it seemed like it happens regularly with tourists maybe?!“

“I was very surprised, the New Year's dinner was spectacular, and there were several details, such as a bottle of sparkling wine offered at the exit, every table had a bag with a bow, and inside 2 glasses of fesra and 12 raisins. We liked a lot.“

“Regarding the quality of the food and friendliness of the staff, nothing to write home about. Grade 10.
However, I point out the delay in service and the availability of dishes as less positive.
We arrived at 8:30 am and our orders were only served after 9:30 am. I asked for a golden one and only after a while did they inform us that it was out of stock. I changed my option which I believe made the service take longer.
What I would advise is that anyone who wants to enjoy the good dishes of the house without waiting too long is to come early. So that they can enjoy the various dishes available on the menu.
Other than that... What was served to us was divine.
Grateful to the staff and to those who cooked for us. ??“

“In Mértola, this restaurant is a true culinary treasure. With warm hospitality and rustic decor, it offers an unforgettable experience.
The garlic crumbs are the highlight: a perfect mix of textures and authentic flavors.
We also can't forget the black pig.
Each dish celebrates the simplicity and freshness of local ingredients. A must-visit for lovers of good food!“

“It's in Moreanes, a small town between Mértola and the fabulous river beach of Tapada Grande de São Domingos! Typical restaurant, where we were received with great friendliness and good disposition! Even though we didn't have a reservation, the owner managed to find us a table in the entrance room! The Meat with Migas was quite good, but the Chickpea Stew was truly wonderful! A very pleasant and well decorated space!
Parking: There are plenty of seats in a dirt park, a little in front of the restaurant!“

“(Translated by Google) This restaurant was a pleasant surprise. The weather invited a meal on the terrace. A cabidela was so good, so good, that there was no choice but to congratulate the cook. And fed up! It took a lot of work. Next time there will be dessert... It's close to the roundabout and right next to the bus station.(Original)Uma agradável surpresa este restaurante. O tempo convidava a uma refeição na esplanada. Veio uma cabidela tão boa, tão boa, que não houve remédio senão dar os parabéns à cozinheira. E farta! Deu muita mão de obra. Para a próxima haverá sobremesa... Fica perto da rotunda e mesmo ao lado do terminal rodoviário.“

“Excellent service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️?????

“We came to eat the Portuguese stew (we had had it on another visit) and it is delicious, but they tell us that they only have it on Saturdays and Sundays. So we ordered a Portuguese soup, stewed frango with potatoes and rice and for dessert we had the house one, everything was very tasty. The terrace where we ate, very nice. The attention from the staff, very attentive. We will be back“

“An oasis in the middle of Alentejo. Very good food, cooked to order with great friendliness from everyone. We arrived late and even so they were impeccable in service. Highly recommend the grilled black pork... just right.(Be careful with the house white wine... it makes your eyes blurry ahahahh)“

“The restaurant always has a good atmosphere (especially now in the summer) so it is advisable to book in advance.
Quick service, the dishes don't take long either. The quality of the food is fantastic, typically Alentejo, making it well worth the visit.“
“My hubby and I ate a late lunch there. The restaurant is simple but has a good selection of authentic Portuguese food. Its location is priceless. You can see the river while enjoying your meal in the terrace. The owner speaks only Portuguese but is very friendly. However, the menu has pictures with the name of the dishes in three languages which facilitates the choosing of your meal. The food was DELICIOUS! In our next visit to Mertola, we'll surely eat there again!“

“Typical Portuguese town bar, few people, tranquility, in an unknown and beautiful town in the Portuguese Alentejo. The area is a must-see, due to its decadent charm, and being the only bar, it is therefore an imperative must-see. You don't want to find luxury in this bar, but you do want to find tranquility and family surroundings. The visit and, of course, the cross-border fraternization is highly recommended.
Vegetarian options: Not recommendable
Dietary restrictions: They do not have
Parking: Many free places
Kid-friendliness: Good place to go with children
Wheelchair accessibility: Has wheelchair access“

“On our first trip to Mértola we stopped here for some burgers. They were so good we decided to get a pizza later that night for dinner which was incredible too. Our server, Daniel, was brilliant. He recommended two of the best desserts we've ever had! Whatever they pay him it is not enough. Highly recommend.“

“For more than 15 years, Paragem has become mandatory, ever since it opened its doors to us on a cold March night and Mr. Zé brought delight after delight to our table, ending with an unforgettable cream cheese and mango mousse that we always ordered. save. Every year, with the exception of 2023, we go there to delve into the best of Alentejo cuisine: the best migas, the best grain stew, the best cuts of black pork and so on. Even the pizzas are above average. This was the first time I returned with the new management and everything was as good as before. Wonders continue to emerge from the kitchen, enhancing the raw material, and when this is the case and friendly and effective service is added to the operation, it is almost impossible to fail. Fair prices and generous portions. Congratulations, good luck, and may our returns continue to warm up.“
