This place was absolutely fantastic from the food, the service, and atmosphere. We had many wonderful appetizers and wine and sangria with our fabulous entrees. Still our bill was under €40 per person. So far in my experience (especially with steak), this restaurant has the best food by flavor, texture, and presentation in Portugal.
Trying to look it up the restaurant to give review lands me on a web page with its photos but with addresses in Coimbra vs South of the city. Is it possible there is more than one? I can't imagine anything in the area mapped having an atmosphere to compete with what I experience Southeast of Coimbra. I will be investigating and hoping they are connected by more than name.
We had a beautiful dinner at Safra. The starters were excellent and so were the main dishes, which were Portugal stake and spare ribs. The desert of Safra trilogy was excellent as well. Cool atmosphere and great service. Mostly recommended.

The reception was very good, they explained the composition of the dishes and answered all the questions we had, the service during the meal was also very good, especially from the owner who, knowing that it was the first time, treated us very well and advised us during the meals. The house's own wine is very good and so is the food, the suckling pig was mentioned a lot by the waitress, it was good, but in my opinion it doesn't compare with the best in the country. The Galician steak was on point and very tasty and the alheira balls in the starters were divine. The desserts were also very good, without a doubt! Always with a special touch. An experience to repeat

We discovered this restaurant on the way to Miranda do Corvo, and it was a great surprise. The staff was extremely friendly. The environment is pleasant. The meat was divine, and accompanied by mashed potatoes and greens. Very good. The price is adjusted to the quality. We will certainly return.
