Bar excellently located on this beautiful town square but very disappointed, this year, with the quality of service to which I was not accustomed in the dozen years I have been coming to Portugal. 20' wait on the terrace (not full on June 1st). A borderline smiling welcome from the young waitress, seeming overwhelmed, with almost no time to thank you when paying the bill (indoors). Fortunately, Portugal is not that! Another address probably preferable

Unpleasant experience. It took them a long time to serve us, very slow even though there weren't many people. They gave us burnt toast even though we had asked for it to be lightly toasted, people from the terrace came into the bar to get their drinks due to the slowness in being served. I had to go in to ask for my glass and a knife that never arrived. We asked for the bill four times and had to go in to pay so as not to continue waiting. Very unprofessional, including the boss. A shame because the site is very good. We knew him from previous times and this had never happened to us. I doubt I will repeat, also very noisy both the bar and the terrace.

The girl who served us was super nice, she tried to speak to us in Spanish the whole time without having to. They gave us several options even though it was late to eat and they treated us very well. We were able to eat with the dogs on the terrace area. We would repeat for sure! The pizzas were delicious!

After a bad experience in a cafe in Miranda do Douro, we came to Buteko where we were very well attended. The employee attended to us with a smile on her face, which nowadays is worth a lot. After some cold drinks, we ate some wonderful toast, which turned into a snack for dinner because of how generous they were.

As they say, "Honey is not made for the donkey's mouth" I see here a lot of nonsense criticism from people used to Benidorm Style where speed is better than quality, luckily in my case, after 1000km of car to arrive here is to feel at home and enjoy your food, drink and person (it's a crack) to the health of the Haters, a "Fino Favaios" photo, and enjoy, but respect people!
