I’ve just eaten at this restaurant and had a Turkey Steak with cream and mushroom sauce. Absolutely fantastic 10 out of 10. Sauce was delicious, Turkey tender and chips crispy just how I like them. The rest of the guys with us all gave their meals 10 / 10.

Waiting 10 minutes on the terrace and service was refused. Without any warning abroad. I called the employee several times and she refused the terrace service several times. We ate here on both nights of our short stay in Loule ( a lovely town ). Lucky to get a meal at all on our arrival day as it was after 10pm ..We enjoyed a pepper steak (pic) and a sea bream, very nice house wine ( both red and white excellent at Euro 5.50 for 50cl ). And a mountain salad (pic). Second night..we went back and enjoyed dorada and garlicky pork fillet with clams ( plenty of..). Again the excellent house wines..oh and TT had a lovely plate of vegetable soup to start ( Eur 2 !!) ...everything wholly recommended by TT.

Excellent service and great food. Typical Portuguese restaurant and menu. Very enjoyable experience, pleasing atmosphere. Great dishes, desserts, and good value for the money. I would recommend Afonso III when visiting or staying in Loule. A place to go. We will be back.

Food was gorgeous, but go early (7pm) - all the locals streamed in shortly after opening! Monkfish & veal t bone highly recommended.

Our good friend took us to this restaurant where he is treated like family. On two occasions we had a fresh fish dinner that was fantastic and so reasonable. I can't recommend it enough. Family run, delicious food. What more could you want :)

The best value meal imaginable with great selection of fresh fish and very friendly and helpful staff. Do not be put off by unshowy exterior as you will have a great meal here.

This is without doubt the best restaurant in Loule. I have been several times and have tried most things. The grilled fish and meats taste amazing. The staff are very nice and friendly too. Would definitely recommend.
