Very nice place but kitchen to review. Very expensive dishes for the quality, you can find three times cheaper elsewhere for the same quality or even better, it's a shame. The cuisine and presentation do not live up to the location, price and gastronomic reputation of the restaurant.

We went with fairly high expectations. This restaurant has been mentioned in several travel blogs as one of the best in northern Portugal. When we entered at half past 9 on a Saturday evening and found the restaurant completely empty, this already made us think. This later turned out to be a harbinger of one of our worst experiences ever in a restaurant. The service was friendly but completely incompetent. The most basic table operations went wrong. We were in a good mood so we could still laugh about it. We lost that laugh a bit when the food came on the table. Nothing came of the promised culinary experience. All dishes were messy and poorly prepared. The trio of cod consisted of one piece of cod that was way too salty, one piece that was undercooked and one piece that was completely tasteless. It is indeed 3 preparation methods, but not as we expected. We just left it as it was. Nothing was done with our complaint so we paid the bill and went home. One piece of advice: Don't eat here

I visited the restaurant A Cozinha do Convento with a group of senior students and we were all delighted with the space and delighted with the lunch (well prepared, good presentation and generous servings).The whole team that welcomed us was very attentive and friendly, especially the owner, who even told us a little about the history of the place.There was a promise to return.I highly recommend the visit!

Perhaps due to the pandemic and the lack of routine in the kitchen it seems that the cook was new in the house I made 4 meals but nothing special otherwise the staff is very friendly and professional than expected
