We were in a rush and assumingly wandered the boardwalk thinking this was going to be a tourist trap with mediocre food. We were so wrong. The warm and accomodating staff paired with a very tasty, unique menu caught us off guard. The best mushroom risotto I have ever had. They also offered us complimentary port wine as a thank you. Definitely a must have on the boardwalk overlooking the bridge.

Delicious oysters and food, attentive service, great view. We were looking for a nice place to have lunch on a Sunday when most restaurants are closed. Terra Nova is beautifully located on the water with a lovely terrace in the sun. Excellent food for a reasonable price, would definitely come back.

We came for our anniversary and it was really sweet, we were seated upstairs and it had view through a small window which let you look out onto the river. The food was good and we would recommend the octopus. The staff was very friendly and kind.

This was my first time in Portugal and I decided to visit Porto. For my first meal I came to Terra Nova because I saw the all the great reviews and it did not disappoint. The service was outstanding for me and my mother, the appetizers were delicious, and the codfish and oysters were so fresh and tasty. We had the table close to the door which had the best view of the Ponte de Dom Luis bridge and water front. We paired the meal with Da Casa Tinto and Da Casa Rosé which were fabulous. We also had the chocolate caramel walnut brownie with vanilla ice cream which ended the night with a bang, sinfully good! 10/10 recommend this restaurant to out of towners and visitors. Hope to be return to Porto and visit Terra Nova again. :)

Great restaurant with perfect food on the waterfront with a local feel and personal touch. Don’t think this is just one of those in a touristy row, it’s got great local food with very pleasant wines.
