Not the most sophisticated place, but generous portions of nicely home cooked food , alongside a friendly and efficient service, make for a very pleasant experience. I certainly would recommend and will be back!

Restaurant worth the detour. The fish skewers are a treat and the stone-cooked beef is a great discovery. Very pleasant staff

Having been there ten times I can only recommend this restaurant and especially to taste the bif na pedra, with its meat which is really very tender that you cook yourself on a stone in front of you.
Very welcoming place. Staff were lovely and to both of us and our 10 month old son. The waiter spoke very good English and chatted to us about his own baby daughter. The food was really good! And it was a good atmosphere. We sat outside and it was quiet. We will definitely be back!
Kid-friendliness: We took our 10 month old and they were so welcoming of him. He was a sleep most of the time but he woke up they were lovely to him. Also when we arrived two older kids, maybe between 6 and 8 were there.

We have been calling to Larissa& Valentine for many years now ,always a friend dly welcome and a simple but super menu, the food is always well presented and superbly cooked,The steak on the stone is huge and is out of this world. On our annual holidays to Moncarpacho we visit The Caravalha more often than anywhere else.Sean& Mary Rep.Of Ireland.
09/16/2023We decided to have dinner in the restaurant. The ambience is ok, we sat outside under a pavilion, on a not busy street. The service was courteous and friendly, unfortunately they had forgotten to order fries, so one point was deducted. (The restaurant was not busy at that time!)The food tasted very good, we had squid with potatoes and salad and a stone-grilled steak with pepper cream sauce, fries and salad. For my part, the pepper cream sauce was a bit too strong, but still acceptable. My husband really enjoyed the squid. With our meal we had a coke and a beer and for the side we had 0.5 liters of sangria. The sangria was delicious, so we ordered another pot of sangria! For dessert we had honeydew melon. There was a nightcap for us on the house.Price-performance ratio is completely right! We were satisfied!

Recommended by a friend .looks like a cafe from outside ,but inside a hidden restaurant.excellent friendly service ,English spoken . Ordered steak on the stone and it did not disappoint, brought to the table sizzling on a stone you cook it to your own perfection. Accompanied by fresh salad and fries ( not the usual frozen hard type either ) . Prices good for such quality meat ,highly recommend.
Plentiful and tasty servings, friendly and attentive service. And real French fries, no frozen ones. I will definitely return.

Nice discovery, the dishes are delicious, good portions, perfectly cooked, we enjoyed it, room a little noisy for our taste but it's the Portuguese atmosphere, friendly welcome and very correct service, prices are affordable and a lot of proposals for kids. Recommendations the beef a real treat.
