We stopped here to shelter from the rain and found a friendly traditional restaurant with excellent service. We just wanted a light grill so we had black pork ina traditional sauce of olive pile garlic and oregano and Piri piri chicken. The extra hot sauce was good for both. A nice place to stop for some good traditional fare

Incredibly delicious food. The portions are huge, you can take any leftovers home with you, so don't hesitate to order to your heart's content. For us, it still tasted incredibly good 2 days later. Service perfect, atmosphere perfect, a truly unique rural experience. Authentic Portugal!!

Very good is an understatement.Nice venue.Welcomed by the owner, who speaks various languages ​​including Italian, who is truly very kind.The chicken is delicious (see the photos to understand how much it was appreciated).Quick in service and in satisfying requests.Don't settle for the house wine, ask for a bottle from the list.There are choices that are worth it.Strongly recommended to everyone.

If in the Algarve, perhaps on a cooler day, make a trip to this wonderful rustic restaurant high above Monchique. It’s very popular so do book. It deserves its popularity as it’s a great place to try wild boar, black pork, kid, lamb and other delights ( they do have fish and veggie options. It is charming inside and the staff are very friendly. Good value too. The lamb on the bone was superb.

Just left this amazing, cosy and traditional restaurant with my family. The food was amazing, unique flavours of the region...we decided to ask for diferent dishes to try and all of them surprises us in a positive way. We had starters and deserts as well no diference, really good as well. Defenitly a come back and I need to mencion the owner, he was funny and nice as well as the staff. 5 star service for sure.

Great traditional Portuguese restaurant in an old farmhouse. The ambience was exquisite. The staff is beyond friendly. We emailed to make a reservation and then decided to go in person to make a reservation. When we came back for our dinner later on, they remembered us and were so attentive the entire night. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful. We had the entrada sampler, which had presunto, chorizo, another type of pork, and garlic mushrooms. The presunto and chorizo were amazing. For our mains, we had the prato do dia, which was pork cheeks with plums and potatoes, and the baby lamb with chestnuts. Both were delicious, but the lamb was my favorite. The chestnuts were a nice touch. To finish, we split the chestnut mousse. Muito Obrigada for the great dinner, and I can’t wait to come back!
