Not like our usual visit......no orange juice and no icecream.....?‍♀️

Antonio Costa

Terrible service. I asked for bread with chorizo (in a place that advertises it and with a supposedly self-made oven) and there was none. I asked for fresh orange juice (after all, I was in the Algarve) and there was none. I asked for a bifana or prego and.... there was no bread!!!! Terrible hotel management.

Deserves better service...

Rustic space with potential, however the prices are high (☕ 1€25) and there is no table service.

Table service is part of the Portuguese culture of good service, having almost no one at the bar seems like laziness and a lack of attention to the customer.

It should be noted that the bar was co-financed by European/Portuguese funds...

I visit every year and have never been disappointed. The best homemade pao com chouriço made fresh each day in the clay oven outside. Very nice atmosphere in the woods/hills of monchique. A little pricey but to be expected in the area .

We went for a coffee. The place is really charming and very cozy, the only bad thing is that they play the television at full volume with low-quality vulgar music. I noticed that no one was watching the TV, so I think they should turn it off so as not to cut off the magic of the place.

The worst gastronomic experience (if you can call it that) of the entire holiday contrasts with the best of the places. We ordered a green bean salad with tuna and boiled egg. I didn't see the egg and beans (or taste them). It came with some peas and swimming in mayonnaise. Nowhere on the menu did it mention that it had this ingredient, which should have given the dish a new name: mayonnaise soup with some tuna and some lettuce leaves swimming in it. The bread with chorizo - which is said to be typical and homemade - doesn't look like anything. I've eaten bread with chorizo from much better hypermarkets or supermarkets. The orange juice - which they also call natural - was not. Besides being already in a plastic bottle (not being freshly squeezed, if it were natural it would have already lost all the vitamins), and it tasted like sunquick. In other words, for orange juice (not natural and certainly from a bottle) they shouldn't charge the 3€ we paid, in addition to the mayonnaise 'soup' disguised as an equally expensive salad.

During the afternoon fantastic music. Good taste.Gregory Porter. I went to the BRAZILIAN Baile da Favela night. TERRIBLE. and then Guns N' Roses. Less bad. But for those looking for a place to relax? Just

Lovely smoothies and good coffee in lovely surroundings. Nice and cool inside too.

Cappuccino is ok. The wrapped cinnamon stick is funny. The smoothie had two thick ice cubes and therefore less space for the fruit that was not fresh. The ambiance is picturesque both inside and out. Recommendation? Why not?!

Delicious toast for breakfast is available from 10 a.m. Then a short walk in the forest to the source.
