Tourist trap. I am living in Portugal for 6 years, also in the Algarve and never paid so much money for so little service and food. We got no menu, ordered just 2 house wines and later on asked for a small platter of cheese and ham. (had no example but saw a photo hanging in the window of some tasty portuguese cheese and ham) We got 2 no good wines, and a couple of ham and cheese rolls (you put normally on a toast sandwich) on a plate. We had to pay 12 euros. Insane and not tasty at all.

Cute shop selling sandwiches, coffee, wine & beer and local meats and cheese plates. Owner doesn’t speak much English but was very friendly and even gave us a free dessert. Very inexpensive and the place to do for a wide selection of Medronho, the local liquor.

A charming little cafe on a cobbled street just off the main square. We stopped for cappuccino and almond cookies and we weren’t disappointed! Sit in or on the street stools and watch the world go by. Obrigada!
