A few vegan options and what we had was very good. Staff are very friendly.

Lots of outdoor seating, the menu has some items marked vegetarian and vegan, there are more options than what's marked and some things can be modified. It's a good spot to eat if you're going out with meat eaters, there's something for everyone. I think you should be explicit about what you can and can't eat though, my mum ordered the vegan version of the fruit and yogurt bowl and it came covered in honey (wasn't a major issue for her). I had the vegan croissant, it was alright! They have oat milk, coconut yogurt, and some other vegan friendly substitutes.

The restaurant is located in a quiet street (at least in the afternoon), so it was really nice to sit outside in the sun. The owner knew exactly which dishes he could veganise, like the avocado burger (without the salmon), bruschetta, sweet potato salad (without feta), Chili etc. I had the bruschetta and sweet potato salad which were tasty! It’s a great place to eat with meat eaters, since there are not many options in Monte Gordo. The homemade lemonades and ice tea is very good!

Delicious burger, great service. The fries could be better. I was impressed by the care for the customer, I like such details :) scissors and you don't have to bother opening the mayonnaise anymore ?

Restaurant was clean and welcoming. Decided to give Blue Parrot a try as close to my hotel. The Baked Camembert was lovely. The fish and chips, had I know it was going to be frozen I would have opted for something else. Having eaten out every evening at various restaurants since I arrived in Monte Gordo I have opted for the fresh fish dish. It was wrong of me to assume the fish at Blue Parrot would be fresh. I am not one to complain, but I was having food envy from the table next to me who had the ribs and seemed to be enjoying their meal. Would I pay Blue Parrot another visit. ..yes..staff and atmosphere were great and returning guest seemed happy and content. My red wine and Ole Fashion was lovely. The fish and chips unfortunately was a let down. Sorry.
