“We stopped at this place today at 14:30pm. It is small and cute restaurant. It was full inside (only Portuguese people), but a table was available outside. I thought they would be closing the kitchen and maybe not accept us at that time, but they were very friendly and helpful. We had some entres - melon, farinheira and a bread from the oven, the main course we had the chicken and 2 delicious porc dishes, with migas, rice and salad. I ordered a 1/2 bottle of wine, a large bottle of water and a coke. We shared the desert ‘pao rala’ and we ordered the melon again. The food was delicious and tasteful. Simple and honest traditional food! my favorite was the fried porc… the 4 of was had enough to est and the bill was €68 in total. I would return to this place in the small village outside Elvas.“

“We arrived around 3pm and there were no longer any major dishes available, but the service was extremely friendly and attentive and they presented us with some options for lunch. Even though we only ate soup, bread, olives and a dessert, we were extremely satisfied. Everything was very tasty! We ordered the typical bowlada from the area and we were fans! I recommend it 100% and hope to return another time to try other dishes available.“

“I went here during a busy lunchtime service,I was shown to a table,and given the menu straight away, after perusing, thought I would give the menu of the day a go.Bread basket and garlic olives were immediately placed on the table, then asked what I would care to drink....a carafe of about 300ml red wine was duly delivered.My main was two good sized pieces of fish with a large portion of tomato and pepper rice.I chose the cheesecake for desert.An almighty slab came out.The waitress was lovely,The food was tasty,The price... only €12.50 !Would I return ?
