Great little bar/restaurant tucked away on a little square on the back streets, minutes from the town centre and castle. The place is nothing fancy but the food is delicious and all cooked fresh. The menu is typical of the Alejento region and daily specials are posted on the boards outside. Prices for all dishes are very reasonable. The staff are really helpful if you don't speak Portuguese and very friendly. Drinks menu we didn't use, we simply drank the house red wine, a good choice, served either chilled or at room temperature by the carafe, other wines by the bottle are available but the house wine is good enough, which you would expect being in a fantastic wine region, all very drinkable? Overall, well worth a visit if you like simple home cooked food, great service and good prices?
