For those who like to immerse themselves in the places they frequent, this is a typical tavern from the upper Alentejo. You will find many places to go. Family-run, typical dishes cooked in the local style. Friendly and attentive, always ready to make a suggestion for lunch, snack or dinner. Don't forget to try the snails, or even snack gold. Wonderful food, we were just starving by the time it came and would have preferred the main to have come together with the sides rather than on its own -- I think that's just how it is in low season and so staffing was stripped back. But the food was cooked perfectly, the petitiscos are inventive and delicious. I would definitely recommend to friends -- just maybe at a time of year when it's livelier!

This find has something different to offer. Great quality food with authentic flavours, a nice range of wonderful dishes and in case you prefer to have a bit of everything there are wonderful tapas to choose from. The restaurant has a nice selection of wines. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Worth a visit!

Was expecting great food and good, if modest, surroundings. However the sticky table was a little off putting. The restaurant needs polished tables or table cloths. Starters were good although the menu did not mention that the broad beans had chorizo/ham and my wife is a veggie so had to replace them (which took a while). When French fries arrived they were undercooked and soggy - so sent them back to be ‘crisped’. Black pork dish was over cooked. But octopus away v good. My wife’s veg fritters were again soggy rather than crispy. The staff were excellent and friendly. Overall not the experience we expected given that it was recommended by friends. Maybe just a bad night????♂️

Wonderfully creative menu and the quality of the food is excellent. The setting is very local and unpretentious. My only issue was with the table service that did not match everything else about this little gem of a place.

This little restaurant is a great find! The style is different from most restaurants around in terms of decor and menu. The owner is delightful and is happy to chat to you about her menu which is a comforting style of cooking. Everything was delicious and we will definitely go back.

All three of us ordered a beetroot salad, it was only sour, 4 shrimps and way too much lettuce €12.00 The bread and some spreads €12.00 was also too expensive. In short, we were very disappointed. I won't go there anymore.
