Unfortunately the old cellar is no longer what it used to be. The quality of the food decreases drastically, the service is carried out by just two people. It already deserved air conditioning. What is still worth them is their fame and the Alentejo singers. For years I have purposely traveled from Lisbon to go to the old wine cellar, I don't think I will return, I will have to discover a new gastronomic pearl in the Alentejo.

I loved the food, the service... Everything
We are from Seixal but it is worth doing a few kilometers to eat real Alentejo food!

We arrived just in time before closing and they treated us kindly without rushing. There were three of us and we ate cod and stew. Everything is very good, authentic cuisine and good service. Good house wine, especially the white.

While we waited for a table, they offered us a snack at the counter, a tradition of the house, it seems.
Meanwhile, a group from Cante Alentejano started what would be the soundtrack to our lunch, full of friendliness, professionalism and art.
The typical and tasty food and even the delicious raspberry ice cream left us wanting to come back.
The entire surroundings of the establishment, steeped in history and tradition, which according to those present have been around for hundreds of years, is very pleasant for those who appreciate the preservation of the region's customs and rurality.
I highly recommend it!

I recommend! I had already heard great things about this restaurant and I didn't rest until I went there. This way, it is my turn to leave my testimony. “Magnificent” is how I describe my experience. Fantastic food, very attentive, good atmosphere and lots of stories. Thank you for everything

It is closed for holidays. I know why it's normal to have lunch or dinner at other times.
