Nazaré 26 July 2024, I visit it every year or almost. And of many I went to the Gaivota restaurant (I already knew it) as I walked along the sidewalk I noticed that the lady who owned it was not at the grill outside, I found out that she passed away, but I decided to go in. Normal service, food taste not the same (the squid was crusty), normal price. Next time, I won't repeat the Lady's hands on the grill.

We ordered a arroz de tumbal. If you want to have rice with a spoon for 46 euros, this is your place. It is not soupy rice, it is broth with rice.
On the other hand, when we complained that the rice was very watery, no one tried to solve the problem and they totally ignored us.

Vegetarian lasagna that appeared to be frozen. Waiting time is a bit long, but the worst part is the excessive volume of the fado that plays continuously, a little more musical variety and less volume in the sound would win points. Helpful staff, prices a little high for the quality/quantity.
The room was terrible....the mattress was a disaster, super uncomfortable, you could notice the springs... We went at the beginning of December and the air conditioning was tiny, we had to go down to ask for the remote control and there was hardly any hot air, plus it smelled to burned. There at the reception door there was a couple who had the same thing happening to them and another family who was in an apartment with a leak and no heat, the man had to go buy them a heater because they were freezing like us. Very cheap in the price of the room but as comfortable and cozy it leaves a lot to be desired. We will not go there again no matter how cheap it is.

Everything went well with our stay, and Mr. was concerned about helping us, both with check-in and check-out, despite the late hour at which we arrived. Excellent room, clean and well looked after. Excellent quality and price, very close to Nazaré beach. I recommend.

I thought it was good but I won't be back, they robbed our wallet in a subtle way... there were 3 of us and we ordered a sea bass and a sea bream and they charged 1.6kg for a sea bass (that fish wasn't that heavy)... I only realized it at home! I have a photo of the account and it's one of those ways to pull off a scam! If the fish weighed all that, I would still be sitting at the table at this time ? I've sat in this restaurant several times, this was the last!
