Our hotel recommended this restaurant to us. It was a 30 minute ride and we expected great things. But sadly it was a huge disappointment. Starters are brought out on arrival in what we thought were complimentary nibbles/amuse bouche, but were ultimately charged for, along with dry bread with no butter or oil.. Very underhand as we would have preferred to chose our own starters! Very unclear pricing on most seafood options (even after asking for help, it was still unclear). My lobster curry was pleasant enough but my friend’s cod dish was not good and most remained on the plate when cleared. She said when asked, that it was too salty, and the waitress said that was what cod was like and maybe my friend wasn’t used to it! She said on removing the plate and she could see it wasn’t to our expectations, but there was no removal on the bill or even token gesture. We asked for wine advice and what was produced was very mediocre and not a good choice at all. Puddings were average. Very expensive for what we had. Would not recommend.
