“A family restaurant that still preserves the essence of the typical Portuguese restaurant, which has been lost so much in recent years... I had already tried it on several occasions, but years ago... And I didn't know how it would be managing after the pandemic and the notable increase in prices in the Portuguese restaurants in the area. And to my pleasant surprise, it is still in the hands of the same family as then and just as well managed. Generous and cheap dishes. Coffee at €0.85 (at that price you can't find it anywhere anymore). Nice staff. Fast and friendly service...
Dishes that you have to try, because they are delicious: frog legs and fried eels...
Without a doubt we will continue to frequent it.“

“Divine razor clam feijoada. The girl who served us was super friendly. Fast. Desserts, which is the best? Of the 3, perhaps the coconut and honey pie, which they recommended to us. Excellent price-quality ratio. The only shame was the noise made by a large group of girls, but the restaurant is obviously not to blame. I will always come back here, for work or pleasure.“

“Absolutely fantastic dinner, best Michelin star we have been to! The Chef menu is divine, you are in for a treat with the very attentive staff and whole scenery is charming. Big plus to the Chef’s specialty the Carabineiro, a must-have! Thanks for the amazing experience!“

“Very nice home
It is not a restaurant but a place of sharing where the owner offers us dishes according to our hunger.
Before paying: we dress in medieval clothing to match the charm of the place.
Very affordable price 4 people €40: dishes to share“

“I came here for lunch during the week in July.
I was very impressed with the salad and seafood display. We tried the shoe rack and the stupe and it was very good.
The dish of the day with menu is 10 euros. It varies every day of the week. There is also soup.
Staff, especially the owner, extremely friendly. It has a terrace, a small terrace and an interior room. It's best to book because it's very busy. There is Wi-Fi.“

“We went for lunch without any recommendation and were very satisfied with the quality of the sardines we ate. They were at the point where we would go back and recommend them. We recommend going early or with a reservation, we had about 1 hour to wait for a table. 5☆“
“We discovered this wonderful restaurant in May and had to go back in October. Both times we had superb food and service. I highly recommend Di Vino’s for anyone going to Portugal. They have a sign stating “Life is too short for bad wine”. They live up to this slogan with their food, as well as their wine.“
“This is a great fish market. It also has plenty of fruits and vegetables, too. On a Wednesday in early March, there is a lot of free on-the-street parking in the area. That is likely not to be the case during the summer. Like Tavira's mercado municipal, the prices at the market in Vila Real de San Antonio have increased due to tourists, expats, and vendors taking full advantage of the increasing popularity of the eastern Algarve.“

“Restaurant that made me feel at home from the first time I entered, due to the friendly welcome and the typical and tasty way in which the dishes are prepared. I also want to mention that one of the times I only had 30 minutes. For lunch, they served me with great efficiency even with the house full. Without a doubt, I recommend ENCONTRO D'AMIGOS RESTAURANT. THANKS“

“We have been going to Bela Vista for over a decade. Every time we come to Portugal, it’s our go-to restaurant. Jorge the owner sources and grills to perfection the best black pork we have ever eaten! We have enjoyed many Michelin starred and top restaurants around the world, but nobody does black pork as well as Jorge. The atmosphere is friendly, and the decor simple and clean. Christina, Jorge’s wife, is always very welcoming and friendly. We go back every time for wonderful black pork.“

“A true central "Tasco" in Vila Real de Santo António. Small, pleasant, tidy and welcoming space.I was served by an experienced waiter who alone dominated the entire restaurant with speed, politeness and dynamism.I don't recommend it for children due to the limited space. Parking can be at the door or in the surrounding streets but always close to the site as Vila Real is small and everything is close by.Typical restaurant serving traditional Portuguese cuisine with 2 or 3 daily dishes.Ideal for retired couples or singles or passengers who want to eat well and cheaply.Good experience to sit, watch some news, drink a glass of wine, eat and walk...“
