Had lunch at this lovely little restaurant tucked away just behind the main street. We had the anchovies which were the best we've ever had, and the Octopus rice which was fantastic. So reasonably priced. It's number 1 on TripAdvisor for a reason.

What a wonderful experience. this is authentic Portuguese cuisine, rustic with lots of flavor. Willl at any time prefer such a small place, rather than tourist menus. Michelin no thanks. What a hospitality. Not the last time I will visit the place.

First visit and my first impression was that it was spotlessly clean. The couple who own the business were, helpful, friendly and professional. I had hake, chips and salad and my partner had the Feijoada. Both very good. So impressed we booked to come back twice. Excellent quality and excellent value. Dog friendly which clinched it for us.

Looking for a restaurant that catered for fish & meat eaters for lunch. This was brilliant everyone was happy. Super service and excellent food. Octopus rice, salted cod, prawns, pork and turkey were all excellent. Will definitely be back when we come back to Olhao.

We visited here twice,a small family business ,great value and food. The prawns in chilli were wonderful. A simple menu lovingly cooked.If you want the cataplan seafood dish ,similar to paella ,you need to prebook. Worth the effort of prebooking.

What can I say about this little gem .Been returning here for years everytime we visit Olhao from Sydney. The food is cooked with love, very tasty and served with a smile. 10/10. Continue doing what you do best. The Octopus rice is something else, and my hubby went for the susberb cod dish . Will be back.

What a gem of a place, from the outside it looks so uninviting and slightly desolate … with its simple green wooden door with no decoration at all… however if you are lucky enough to get a seat as it’s only tiny then you are in for a real treat! The staff are so helpful and although the English is somewhat broken, they are so very helpful. We went with our little treasure and grandma plus the 2 of us… and it was a joyous occasion from start to finish. We had anchovies and fresh bread as appetisers and the anchovies were salty and fresh, then we had traditional stew, hake fillets, and pork loin . They were all good but boy was the pork superb! It was marinated in a think sauce which was meaty and almost smoked in flavour whilst having a really decent amount of bite in the meat. It was melt in the mouth For desert our little treasure plumped for the chocolate home made mousse and grandma had the Portuguese meringue mango desert. All very good. Impressive traditional Portuguese food done really simply and really well.
This is a gorgeous place to have some authentic Portuguese food. My son and I visited for lunch. I ordered the prawns but asked if I could have them in garlic rather than chilli. They were very accommodating. The prawns were absolutely delicious, served with some bread for mopping up the sauce! Lovely little place, great service and fantastic food!

Great tiny gem with a husband and wife team. Only 5 tables so you need to book. How do they manage in such a small place? - but they do and do it with style and a smile. Tasty local food and house wine were really good. The feijoada was delicious . We ate, we drank, we enjoyed and all for only E30 for 2 .

Hake appeared to be from a frozen packet, too many chips and no salad. Not really up to scratch for a town that is renowned for seafood.
