If you go with a Spanish mentality, the service is disastrous. 14 minutes to take the order and it wasn't even half full.
If you go with a ZEN mentality, a magnificent place.
The food was spectacular (sardines and scrambled cod).

Unfortunately disappointed despite the reviews… canned tuna salad, in a fishing town! Too bad the tuna steak was good for him

Atypical.
In a small, quiet pedestrian alley, a "cafe/restaurant" Olhao da Ria and just opposite the Adega Levante restaurant which work together.
Monsieur manages the café on one side and Madame the restaurant.
We took a table for 5 people on the cafe side.
Monsieur gave us the card opposite. Amazing.
But pleasantly surprised.
The children had a burger for €10, nothing extraordinary.
We ate a cataplana for €40 for two.
Excellent. A great discovery.
We found the two managers to be friendly and eager to do well.
We recommend.

Fabulous seafood lunch and lovely friendly service. The proprietors obviously take pride in the service and food they provide. They live up to their positive reviews which is why I chose this restaurant for lunch. I would definitely return.
Great, warm, family-run restaurant with a world-class sea bream on the menu. It had been a nice evening. Can only be recommended

Family-run Portuguese restaurant. The restaurant was actually closed in the evenings in winter. But the owner told me at lunchtime that she would open for us at around 7 p.m. So it happened that we had the restaurant exclusively for ourselves 2 days before Christmas. The fish dishes we were served were incredibly tasty, as was the house wine and the friendliness of the innkeepers was hard to beat. We recommend this restaurant without reservation. Thank you for the Portuguese hospitality.

If it were only for the smile of the owner who welcomed us, this sincere restaurant would deserve a few more stars. Comfortable environment and traditional menu well prepared but without particular innovations. Mainly local clientele and many regulars. The fresh grilled fish is recommended: pay attention to the portions as they are almost always a little exaggerated.

In the backyard I saw an open kitchen window where a piece of salmon was being grilled. I called through the kitchen window to ask if this was a restaurant. We passed the restaurant entrance and three friendly people were waiting for us with the menu. We stopped by the next day and ordered grilled salmon. It is a very good Portuguese family run restaurant. You can choose fresh fish at the counter to the right of the door. The salmon and fries was very tasty. We wanted to go there for dinner a second time on Saturday evening, but unfortunately the restaurant was closed. It's best to always pay attention to the opening times. There are also appetizers that are placed at the table without asking at the beginning of the order, but you can refuse this at any time. Portuguese people know this rule, but tourists don't.

Burger was disastrous, with egg and fruit but no bread. Tuna dry like the sole of a shoe. Rip off at that

Small family run restaurant on the back streets, nothing fancy here, sitting outside its all about the food. No need to rush your meal here, just take your time and enjoy the atmosphere around the street. Good hearty food, ample portions but I found it a tad pricey than other similar places.
Simply just amazing with great food & drinks. Awesome service and very cozy atmosphere.
