Ammar i Mar - Sushi & Seafood Restaurant

Great food and great service. We had fish tacos, lovely and fresh. Then sushi, which was a great selection, some interesting varieties - all were very nice, well made and well presented. Service was very good, and cocktails were great. All in it was very good value too. Would def go again.

Das netteste Personal das man sich vorstellen könnte!! Haben uns sofort Willkommen geheißen und uns genug Zeit zum Essen aussuchen gelassen. Mit einem jungen Kellner hab ich mich dann länger über Gott und Welt unterhalten (da gerade nicht sehr viel los war) Kommen wir zum Essen : EINFACH ausgezeichnet. Vorspeise Top. Hauptspeise Top. We both didn't even finish our main course. Starters were ok but when you advertise the carbonara as "prepared traditionally" and you end up with spaghetti and bacon instead of guanciale in a soupy sauce I could not finish the dish.... My wife's mushroom risotto had a bad bitter aftertaste. I think the good reviews are mainly for the sushi thus a bit misleading I'm afraid....

A quick welcome and warm installation.
A professional and very courteous service. We chose the salmon with mango sauce which was exquisite!
The street side can be a little noisy with cars but the alley side is very nice.
5 stars.

Great sushi plates, everything was made on the spot and all the fish felt amazingly fresh, even the desserts were fantastic! The fried sushi was definitely a first for most of us, but very tasty! Highly recommend!

Nice little restaurant I've been waiting to try. Great choice of food however I don't think the quality of the food represents the price. The food is nice but not amazing. I had salmon and spinach lasagne and there was too much cheese and less filling. It was nice but not for the price. Beef Wellington and mango salmon were ok by all accounts. The best was the service. Sandro was amazing and I loved his energy and the way he served. He really was the best part of this restaurant. Would I go back? No but only because I think the prices are too expensive for what they offer. Though maybe I'd go to see Sandro.
