This was my second visit to Cha Cha Cha and unfortunately I left a little underwhelmed. Ambience lovely and service attentive but the food unfortunately really lacks generosity- to be honest it borders on mean. The small plates are very tasty but incredibly poor value for money. A courgette tapas plate for example gives you 3 thin ribbons of courgette. Look everything is nicely prepared and tasty but even allowing for inflation it’s simply not remotely good value. When you eat at Michelin starred venues you accept small portions due to complexity and richness but here it feels they are taking customers for granted. I’m sure the owner will post some passive aggressive reply judging from below but honestly I think if the portion sizes were tweaked this would be a 5 star restaurant

A pearl in Olhão! Delicious food in a nice setting, and not unimportant: very hospitable staff. Absolutely recommended!

No hospitable reception.
I was able to order food from a person and the place was fairly full.
In my opinion, the price-quality ratio of the food and drinks is completely out of balance.

Whilst enjoying our foodie experience in Olhao so far and found the locals and the prices very welcoming my daughter heard about Chachacha. A step above the others we were told and you can only book through Instagram and tables are difficult to get ect. Beth promptly booked and she insisted we arrived on time and behaved ? This is a real foodie find she informed me. My enthusiasm for food does not match hers but I was pleasantly surprised. Its a small restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating and only 3 table staff one of whom is the owner. You can see the high level of focus here from the staff. They move fast with brief interludes with customers and you certainly don't want to delay them as the food they are dishing out is a feast for the pallet. Beth raved about her Rose wine and my rave was for the lemon meringue pie. I'm a sucker for desert and this was by far the best I've tasted. All the food was fabulous. The owner is a character and runs a good show. Applause to him and his fine team. ?

Very nice cuisine. The seafood is so tasty and original and the staff is very professional. But the pricing seems a bit tricky

Restaurant looks great but Very rude welcome…. wanted to have drink and appetizer but the host responded we are not that kind of place whatever this means. If not hungry enough for a full course get out not welcome here?
In response again not everyone eats large meals. I tend to eat and share appetizers in the evening (like tapas) and not full meal. We asked if you had a table and you said yes just one inside. Commenting about us feeling entitled is rude. Nothing entitled about asking if you had a table to which you said yes but refusing cause we wanted to eat an appetizer….

The English waiter and waitress have no place here. They are the complete opposite of decor. Damage. Just ok meal

The restaurant is very well located in Olhao and exudes a lot of charm. The tapas were also fantastic (especially chorizo with egg). The staff was also very courteous and friendly.
Overall, a great restaurant that you should definitely visit when in Olhao.

Sweet Baby Moses, what a meal. My wife and I had 3 starters to share and then 1 main meal to share and finally a shared pudding. To give you an idea of how lush it was, the olive tapanade was the best ever. The staff were so accommodating, the 'owner' was a perfect host as were the rest of the staff. We are on to Lisbon and have been given recommendations for food there.
Seriously, go to Chá, Chá, Chá, BUT make sure you book.
Best meal in Olhão.
Thanks

Great service, amazing food and atmosphere. Lions Mane mushroom and goats cheese wrapped in fig leaf were particularly good.
Really nice fresh combinations of flavours which you can tell have been locally sourced!
Vegetarian options: Vegan board was really nice

Great homemade tapas in a small street in the center. We took 5 small dishes to share between two. Count €60 for two (with aperitif and dessert). It is advisable to book in advance. This restaurant only accepts cash.

I cannot comment on the quality because the owner, for some reason that only he knows, must not like my accent. Neither in the year 2023 nor in the month of July 2024. He never, never has a table. No day does not matter if it is the 2nd or the 27th. There is no, there is no....
Of course I didn't ask again. There are many and very good ones.
Thank you Kevin and Sónia for your kindness. Very creative and very pleasant dishes for a great summer evening. Continued good work.
