Me and my friends went to get a nice brunch before going on the ferry boat, but it turns out the brunch was not nice, €7.50 for a taost that was burnt on the edge and it looked nothing like the picture provided.
The ice cream was not too bad. So if you want something sweet you might enjoy it.

Magnificent setting. The pancakes are good, the squeezed orange juice less so. But for a tourist café it’s nice. The service is not at the table, you have to order at the counter and clear it. Prices are high for Portugal (€5 for a classic pancake).

For a refrigerator that has been around since 1951, they should learn how to make ice cream because they were all really terrible! But I ended up eating it all
Self service at the counter. OK. Unfortunately, the employees at the counter flee as soon as a guest approaches. Instead of an ice cream sundae with an unmistakable name, a latte was served and even when asked, the employee insisted on it. A pity. The location on the promenade behind the market hall is very good.

Terrible service, they didn't even come to the table to find out what I wanted, more than 30 minutes to make two crepes and on top of that I had to bring the trays because the waiters aren't designed for that, so I go there to still have to be there working for them??? I don't recommend

Gelvi from 1951 comes back to us, you will have understood, it's really much earlier. Today, summer 2024, I find that prices have increased terribly €18 for 4 small ice creams in a bucket ? ?

I didn't think to give it a star... I ate a Maltisers ice cream that tasted like coffee ice cream and I could identify other flavors in the mix... I've never seen anything like it... I don't even want to imagine how they made the ice cream...

Extremely slow service and very overpriced price for the quality. Avoid if you are at least aware of the quality/price aspect

Horrible experience. Waited 45 minutes for two tostada’s. The whole terrace was empty and the staff was not doing a single thing. Walked in three times to ask how long it would take, everytime it “would only take 5 more minutes”. Tostada’s are horrible, not melted, dry and cold. Dont go here!

The quality of ice cream has declined a lot. Of the once reference Gelvi ice creams, only the name remained. A huge disappointment! Reservations for the service: friendliness, availability and cordiality, a perfect score.
But the ice creams don't invite you back.
Return to the quality of the original products and recipes, please!

The place is good and has a large terrace. As for their ice creams, they are not of quality, for the price they have.
