A solid 4 out of 5 is exactly where this restaurant’s rating should land, so tripadvisors are doing their job. We ate here twice. The food is great. They can grill meat with the best of ‘em. They get knocked down 1 for ambience (yes, I know it’s a typical churrasqueira atmosphere, but having the news showing images of tragedy on a Friday night? Come on, play some football or I’ll even take a bad American gameshow). They also get knocked for their espresso drinks. Not up to par with Portuguese standards in my opinion. With all that said, a good place to eat.
(Translated by Google) Bad experience. I ordered a barbecue chicken with rice, the chicken was cold and the rice full of water. I called the lady who was answering and the lady called the person in charge of the kitchen who reacted sarcastically and ironically and made fun of the situation saying that the rice was with water because it was made with water and he said that the food was good and in my "Terra" (a term used with a certain prejudice) is that they should cook the food differently . not recommend at all.food should be served with love and service with respect and attention, at O Lavrador restaurant both are lacking!(Original)Péssima experiência.
I read the reviews and was a bit hesitant but so happy I ignored all the negative people that have reviewed. The staff were very welcoming and attentive. Food was excellent. Home made soup, grilled steak, chips and salad washed down eith a house red, ended everything with a local dessert and coffee.
(Translated by Google) A typical Portuguese restaurant. Two dishes of the day to choose from plus a card. Service fast and nice. Food Ok, but nothing outstanding. The interiors are not amazing, the toilet is clean. You can park next to it.(Original)Typowa portugalska restauracja. Dwa Dania dnia do wyboru plus karta. Obsługa szybka i miła. Jedzenie Ok, ale bez rewelacji. Wnętrza bez zachwytu, toaleta czysta. Obok można parkować.
This is a restaurant still focusing on serving local people. The dishes are local. We had lunch here while hiking. The menu has several languages but the staff doesn't speak another language than Portuguese. With the help of Google Translate we were able to order a lunch that deviated a bit from the menu. The food was excellent and service more than ok.A recommendation for tourists who likes to feel and eat like local people do.
(Translated by Google) Top Alentejo food! Anyone who tries these migas with Alentejo-style spare ribs will be delighted and cry for more! But there are also spectacular dishes of the day and homemade food at a full price per menu at 8.5€ - it's really worth it!!! ????????????(Original)Top comida Alentejana! Quem experimentar estas migas c/ entrecosto á alentejana, vai deliciar-se e chorar por mais! Mas também á pratos do dia espectaculares e comida caseira a um preço completo por menu a 8.5€ - vale a pena mesmo!!! ????????????
- the perfect lunch stop on a walk out from Olhao - the rice was magnificent - the best I've had !!!

Très bon lieu de restauration, le cuisinier et le patron nous ont accueilli chaleureusement. Les plats sont très bons et suffisamment copieux pour un prix très correct. Découverte de la Sangria blanche pour ma part.
Very popular local cafe, great variety excellent service and prices.

We entered this restaurant looking for some lunch. No one greeted us, so we found a table (struggled with stroller) and sat down. We were glared at and someone eventually came over and said restaurant wasn’t open until midday. Why not just tell us that on entering the premises? So rude
