The worst food poisoning I’ve ever experienced, came on just a few hours after eating here, very disappointed as was looking forward to trying the cataplana please be careful when serving shellfish

Magnificent restaurant to taste one of their different Cataplanas options.We went with the monkfish, clams and shrimp, accompanied with pepper, onion and a lot of cilantro (personally what I liked the least).A cataplana to share between two, if you don't ask for anything else, is more than enough. Includes some fries separately.We will repeat if we return to the area.

Discovered this place by accident on the main drag in Olhão. Very typical traditional Portuguese restaurant. Speciality seems to be cataplana fish stews. In fact the restaurant bills itself as the ‘king of the cataplana,’ and it certainly lives up to that boast. My friend and I had the monkfish and prawn cataplana and it was AMAZING! Huge amounts of prawns and monkfish with loads of nicely cooked onion and tomato. Absolutely delicious. It was certainly big enough for three, maybe even four people with small appetites. It defeated us, sadly! With a very nice bottle of rose, olives, water, and a salad, the bill came to around €65, a complete bargain! Service was friendly and attentive. Would definitely recommend.

Good restaurant to try their specialty, the cataplanas, with a medium price and plenty of quantity for 4 with only one serving 2 people.It's not cheap, but not the most expensive either, good value for money!!

Exquisite cataplanas, they made a mistake and brought us another one that wasn't the right one but it was delicious! Very good prices. It's always full.
Loved it!It was so busy that there were people waiting just inside of the front doors. Hopefully you don't get the table just near it as some people were waiting so close to the table. It looked uncomfortable?My table was in front of the kitchen and it was the best. I saw a lot of delicious looking food coming out from the kitchen. All the servers were very focused and not wasting a second, which I respect a lot. Our server was very charming and fun. :)
