Nice service and top-class dinner. Clams, cataplana and dessert were perfect! The place is new and is located on the harbor promenade about 2 km from the market halls! Recommendable!

Nice food, but overpriced

The service is 5*. The staff were most helpful and without doubt went beyond expectations. The food was amazing. Enough choice and, cooked to perfection and delicious. Definitely worth a visit if you want quality. Also the location on the sea front is perfect. Please note this is a sister restaurant to the Bamboo next door which is also excellent.

They serve the food poorly. Mini doses. They served a single dessert that even a kid could make (chopped gelatin with cream). I expected more but it was miserable. Everyone at the table commented. They don't go back there anymore.

Fabulous food, lovely restaurant, outstanding service. The waitress, Laura, was amazing. They were great about my food allergy and the couvert, including a baby fried sardine was the best I have ever had. There was no soup on the menu as a starter but they made some for my husband. The bread is wonderful! We shared a sole for our main course...delicious. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will be back soon.

I have been your guest regularly over the past 1.5 years. Where 2 ladies in the service gave your restaurant a boost with great grandeur, nowadays that grandeur is gone. €35 for a really good piece of fish, but with some canned peas and string beans it is really overpriced. You have so much potential, but with my latest experience you fall into a tourist trap. Just give a good amuse again, bring back the grandeur and... cook again with fresh and beautiful vegetables. Consider your price/quality policy.

superb lunch overlooking the ria formosa bay and islands on a grey day with sun pouring thru the windows now and then, watching the boats bobbing upon the water. Service wonderful, the staff, friendly, polite and explaining the menues perfectly. The ambience is beautiful, bright and airy, the views amazing, the food utterly delicious. the passion fruit mouse to die for. Coffee delicious, not bitter like in most places, the wine divine. We opted for steaks, cooked just how it should be, and seasoned extremely well. The loos clean, smell nice and excellent for those with disabilities such as myself, wide doors and lo and behold a raiser each side of the loo, very impressed. This is a resturant I will definately will return to as often as I can. I thoroughly recommend. Thank you for making it such a fabulous lunch xxx

Had a very nice meal last night. Food was lovely, the staff were nice and view was good, what's not to like.we had a bottle of wine and cocktails too.

We came to Ilhao for a chill out week from the UK and came to this restaurant twice. This probably is the very best restaurant I have ever been to for service - and I have frequented some wonderful restaurants. The staff are genuinely some of the nicest people. We were made very welcome and they were so attentive. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was great and the bonus last night was the entertainment. Portuguese style. The restaurant itself is in an amazing spot and beautifully set out, but an important point I personally loved, is that there is ample space between tables. Not so common today. If I lived here, this would be my ‘go to’ restaurant for any occasion. I highly recommend this restaurant

Such a pity the quality of the food changes from week to week. In the beginning it was absolutely awesome. Great food. After a few months the chef “disappeared” and it was nothing special anymore. We gave it another try a few weeks ago, several times, but one time it is nice and the other time it is nothing. Some consistency would help building up stable and happy customers.

Firstly, the place is beautiful, the decor is very tasteful, elegant, the view is incredible. We had a 1 and a half year old baby, who was treated with great affection by all the staff. They soon brought a high chair and food decorated with a smiley face. For the adults, an incredible seafood that...my God, I've never eaten anything so wonderful! All seafood is fresh, well made, tasty, well presented. It was truly an incredible night, which will forever be engraved in our memories. On our next trip to the Algarve, we will definitely go there again!

We came with a lot of expectations, such was the positive publicity, but it left a lot to be desired. Terrible service, no experience, disregard for the customer... we were the only ones in the room and we had to wait almost 1 hour for the dish... and even then, they forgot elements that were part of the dish. I think it's a tourist trap. The view is nice... but even that wasn't worth it.
