I have been to the London Bridge branch and had a great experience. I booked this about 1 hour before attending - despite that i would have expected some improvement to the experience. We were waiting about 15 mins until we could order a drink, the service was slow, they forgot an item that we ordered, left finished plates on the table for a long time and never asked us if we wanted dessert. They seemed understaffed and it was a poor experience - I wouldn't go back.
As the restaurant expands from its London Bridge origins, the Portuguese menu and general ambience stays the same. It's the lemon and garlic and piri piri chicken that were the highlights and of a much higher standard than other dishes we shared. In future, I will avoid the tomato salad as it was pretty tasteless as tomatoes too often can be- perhaps a different supplier would lift what should be a delicious and refreshing option.
The house red is very cheap and nasty The starters were lovely but the Petri peri chicken was very meagre. The sides were a good size, I think they make them a little bigger to make up for the tiny chicken. I wouldn't recommend
Our preferred venue (most convenient place). Staff were friendly, the place was very clean. Service was fast and attentive. No criticism whatsoever. Will be going again, please remember of course
Be very careful when paying, there is a difference in prices between the letter and the invoice.

Garnishes are charged separately. Personally, it's something I don't like in any restaurant.

Despite booking online through on OpenTable they didn't have our booking. That didn't matter as it was a 5.00pm pre theatre booking so we were the only ones there when we arrived. However what did matter was that on the booking they asked what was the occasion, so our occasion was not acknowledged as it had been in Boulevard Brasserie restaurant. We ordered the charred cauliflower (which is a whole cauliflower so a bit big for 2 of us) and the prawns and the half chicken piri piri and the tomato salad (nicest tomatoes ever!) . The menu actually says the small plates will arrive first and then the chicken and sides so we were surprised when all arrived together. They didn't have our first choice of wine and recommended another and offered a sample. That was a good idea as we disliked the sample so chose another one. We had a very nice young lady serve us who was new as we saw another waitress teach her how to open a bottle of wine at another couples table..hardly the place to do staff training? The place started to fill up as we were leaving so the ambience increased. One thing I would mention is that a lot of the restaurants in the area are blocked from evening sun because of their positioning in a type of square surrounded by very tall buildings, so this may be important if you want to sit in the sun.
Tiny, dry chicken with no seasoning, a shame you have to pay to eat so little. There are no posted prices anywhere, which is not even allowed by law...

We had a lovely meal at Casa do Frango. The sharing dishes are all delicious and make for a wonderful sociable eating experience. The staff were friendly and energetic. My only criticism is that we were told they needed the table back after only 1 hour 15 minutes which isn't very long for a table of 3 - I thought we would have the table for 2 hours. Overall though we had a very enjoyable time - we just wanted to stay longer!
Chose to eat here ahead of Hamilton (theatre is just around the corner). Friendly welcome and although pretty empty when we arrived (5.30) place quickly filled to create a nice buzz. Food was very good - mainly had a the peri-peri chicken which was tasty. The "Portuguese" fries were just very ordinary 'fries' however and therefore the extra £4.50 seemed a bit steep even for central London. Service was a bit hit and miss - some plates were cleared whilst some of the table were still eating and one of the mains was initially wrong. Overall a good experience but was pricey for what is essentially chicken and chips.
The real canvas, only here...

It's true that we arrived a little late for lunch, at a certain point we started to feel like they were in a hurry for us to leave. The chicken on the barbecue was dry and nothing special.

Excellent traditional chicken-soup and roast chicken dish. Friendly service in English. Dark chocolate mousse is superb. I can really recommend it. Never had any better.
