The best sponge cake I've ever eaten! It lives up to the high rating it has in reviews. I went with my wife and my 6 year old son, who loved the sponge cake. We were served by Mr Bruno, who was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the experience of tasting this high quality product even better.
Going back to Ovar, I don't even think twice: now I only buy sponge cake here...

We left Porto heading to Ovar with a simple mission - to taste a beautiful traditional sponge cake. To our surprise, most places were closed, I think because it was Sunday. It was a great joy that most of them were closed, because we were able to visit this wonderful place that is Pão de Ló de Ovar São João, which made the whole trip worth it. The texture is soft and extremely tasty, unlike any other sponge cake I've ever tasted. I highly recommend it!
