Brightly - almost forencically lit dining area. TV on. No atmosphere, it felt like a dining room in a family-orientated resort hotel. Cabrito assada was just bone, overcooked. Porco entrecosta was OK but no frills, nothing special. Desserts are off one of those awful pre-made ice-cream manufacturers, local home cooked dessers were offered but they are really pricey. Service was good apart from the young lad hovering around listening to our conversation (yes, son if you didn't hear me the first time you should still but stock in Nvidia).
Amazing food! Very well cooked, as our grandmother's did! Local ingredients and local recipes. It's a must if you're looking for genuine local food.
It started off with a bang when we ate the most delicious chicken gizzards and liver for starters. The sauce was just divine! This was followed by a chicken soup with small pasta. A bit bland. Then the downer —-we had the arroz with meats. The meats and two shrimps were overcooked and dry and so was the rice. It seemed to me that the dish was just a rehash. Really disappointed. The only good thing was that our waiter was attentive and polite.
