We were staying nearby for a few days and went in for an evening meal. The staff were very welcoming and attentive even though the place was busy. The food was excellent and portions were large, make sure you are hungry. Very reasonably priced and would highly recommend this restaurant.
The restaurant had really high quality service that helped us order good food also suited for the kids. The food was served without extra delay and was really tasty
Our first meal in Portugal while we were out on our fist day of sight seeing. Found the restaurant fine, but not great. Everyone in our party liked their meals, but didn’t love them. I personally had the Carne de Porco à Portuguesa, which was flavorful, but pretty dry. The Entrecôte c/ Estragão that another person got was just swimming in too much sauce. The Esparregado was bland. All in all, just an average place with average food in our experience.
Long walk done with the boys. First thing after walking -> lunch time. We had two tasty Super Bocks off the dome, one glass on wine and one Pepsi Cola for the driver (lame). Food came after a while: octopus was amazing but do you eat the head? We don't know... Codfish left us wondering, what kind of fish is this chewy fish? Fish balls with french fries, ok! Amazing lunch, can highly recommend.
Came here on the recommendation of our friendly hotel front desk receptionist. Amazing service! The hosts spoke good English and took the time to explain the dishes. All dishes tasted exquisite and cooked to perfection. Great value for money. We ordered an entree and two mains but was so full we couldn’t eat any dessert which was a shame as it looked like a great selection. Highly recommend if you want to eat like a local.

Good value for money! Good food. We had mussels and pork cheeks. Both were very well made. The pork was very tender. We paid less than 50 euros for dinner for 3 persons including rosé wine, soft drinks and water. White table cloth and friendly waiters.
I came to Cantinho de Sao Pedro for dinner as part of a small group touring Portugal. We were the only tourists there. Food was excellent - local/homemade, generously portioned, and priced far lower than expected given the quality. Pedro (the owner) and his family provided engaging service and offered useful recommendations when asked. Highly recommend.

Restaurantji Recommends
They did not have the ones listed on their wine wine list. The veal in cream sauce and mushrooms was so full of gristle and bone that most of the meat was inedible. The pork cheek stew was good. I do not recommend this restaurant with all the other options available in Sintra.
The pork cheeks in stew was delicious. The veal in cream sauce with mushrooms was poorly butchered. Almost a third of it was gristle and bone. With the meat being covered, it was difficult to cut it without running into bone. Further, you could not tell where the gristle was. It was a very good wine.
Amazing place! Great steak, delicious sangria & amazing staff. The manager shared the best dish advice. Thank you for the best dinner!
Very nice local Portuguese restaurant! Good food, huge portions, friendly service, good prices (two of us ate and shared a litre of wine for 40€). House wine wasn’t the best (my Portuguese boyfriend wasn’t impressed) but still miles better than the wine we have in the U.K. Full of locals but still felt Covid secure - sanitiser at the entrance and everyone wore masks. Would come back here again.
