When it came time to pay, you can only pay with a card from Portugal, I had to go out to withdraw money 7 minutes walk away, leaving my wife there, me having a card from Spain wanting to pay, they only say that they accept a card from Portugal. Nowhere that I went to in Lisbon did they tell me such nonsense.

After a week in Portugal eating in all sorts of eateries that are rated very high, we stumble upon this place…near where we are staying, nondescript, frequented by locals, no English menu, just a kind waiter who speaks English. We order and the food is sublime. Obrigado for a fabulous meal.

A wonderful, local place. Crowded with neighbors from the estate. There is no menu in English (and that's the only reason for one star less, and maybe because they don't accept non-Portuguese cards). We were the only "tourists". We paid less than €50 for a wonderful dinner of cod, a plate of meat, half a chicken (really great), a carafe of sangia and two cans of Lipton ice tea. The dishes are really huge and delicious. A 100% local, neighborhood restaurant hidden from tourists, only 10 minutes from the beach. I recommend!!!!!
