Beautiful view of the beach from where we were sitting. The waiter was patient and helpful when choosing something for the little one. Calamari was tender and generous portion, if a little oily. Squid was a little less tender but clearly fresh. Salmon cooked perfectly. Orange juice freshly squeezed and was an absolute delight, went well with the food. The local layered cake with cream was really tasty too. The highlight for us was the piri piri oil which was homemade, a slight numbness followed by a powerful kick - take care! We enjoyed an amazing seafood lunch by the beach. Even though it was 1:30pm, it was full outside so we opted to sit indoors. We ordered the calamari, grilled golden bream, octopus and grilled shrimp. Everything tasted freshly cooked and the bream was a highlight as it was so meaty yet delicate. The dessert menu was mostly homemade so we tried the biscuit layered cake (similar to tiramisu), milk cake, almond tart and carob cake. Each cake was gorgeous but the milk cake was a highlight as it had a great fluffy meringue-like texture, with a lovely creamy flavour.

My wife & I arrived around 1230 on a Sunday and 20 minutes later the restaurant was practically full, and many local people which is always a good sign. When you sit on the beach surrounded by small fishing boats you have to eat fish of course and the selection was great and fresh. I always enjoy local sardines simply cooked and they did not disappoint. My wife had sea bream and described it as some of the tastiest fish she had enjoyed recently. The house wine complimented the meal nicely. Great value and an attentive friendly service. We'll be back!
