Sushiway (Sushiway By Chef Kadu)

I went with the expectations generated by the Google and TheFork ratings, I left disappointed. I'm a sushi lover and I like good sushi, whether from the most expensive or the most reasonable restaurant, but I know how to appreciate what is made with care and respect for the fish. What was presented to me after 50 minutes of waiting was what you see in the image. This combination cost €43. Time doesn't bother me, the time to produce this does. The quality of what was presented to me, yes, I ate it because I hate wasting food, and even so, my wife had to send a gunkan away because it had a horrible taste, I washed it down with half a glass of white wine. The answer they gave me was: "That's why I asked if you really wanted traditional". Maybe they don't know what traditional sushi is... This is at the level of sushi at a Chinese restaurant, not at a signature restaurant. It was probably my mistake, I didn't choose "all you can eat" and I was "punished" for that. But the image speaks for itself, 16 hosomakis, 2 minimum gunkans and a tuna cut into rectangles... Minimal effort and 50 minutes to make this.

We were looking on thefork for a good sushi restaurant and ended up finding this one rated 9.0.

We went to see before we went... the chef apparently had an international certification, and the feedback videos from people seemed like a good experience would await us. So we set a lot of expectations.

The atmosphere left a lot to be desired, a completely empty restaurant, without a single piece of background music or anything like that...

We ended up ordering the Sushiway menu (All You Can Eat), where the fried roads like gyosas and some shrimp rolls were delicious.
But then it all went downhill... fried pieces of sushi, the salmon was black.

And when the combination arrived, the salmon pieces didn't appear to be in good condition... there was a strange odor that didn't seem like salmon, and even in relation to the combination pieces, they left a lot to be desired.

Worst of all was the huge stomachache I had all night due to **MAYBE** the quality of the fish presented.

This place definitely has my heart, it won me over not only with the quality of the food but also with the excellent service of the staff. Whenever I can, I try the varied and tasty menu.

Sushi made with great care, very fresh fish, personalized and attentive service. You can watch the chef make sushi and even talk a little. Very relaxed and peaceful atmosphere with beautiful decor. ADVICE!

We had a problem with this restaurant. We booked it because it was listed as having a 30% discount and we decided to give it a try. On the discount label was written "-30% off the menu". We chose a few things from the menu including the typical sushi mix chosen by the chef which in Portugal is also called the "menu". When paying the bill were told that the food we ordered was not “covered by the discount”. Apparently, the discount didn't apply to the full menu and despite saying "30% off the menu" it is the client's job to read the terms and conditions of the discount. Which is maybe fair and next time (in another restaurant) I will know better. We did feel that this was misleading and I guess the restaurant did too. After my initial review, the discount description changed to "Get up to 30% off - conditions may apply".

Best Japanese food I've tasted in recent times. Everything very tasty, well presented, great service. I highly recommend you try the Lime Sakerinha with strawberry and the hot dessert sensation. Wonderful experience!
