The prices are really great and add to the positive experience.

Good food and good atmosphere
Looking for a place to have lunch in Penalva fo Castelo, I turned to Google Maps to check the options. I find Telheiro with good reviews. We were 3 people, the service was quick, the table was soon available. The dishes took a while, but it was nothing to worry about. The restaurant was busy, it was a Sunday.The food: I was not satisfied with my choice, Bacalhau a Telheiro.The dish had a good presentation, but the preparation left something to be desired.The fish was breaded. but it had no flavor, I couldn't eat all the fish, but I preferred to take it as it was a lot of food to leave, and at home I could make it more attractive. And that's what I did.The other options were satisfactory and there is nothing to point out.The atmosphere of the restaurant is pleasant, reminiscent of a Portuguese house with a lot of history.The employees are kind and the prices are not cheap. The dishes are in the range of 15 to 20 errors.

Het eten had veel smaak en je gaat met volle buik weer naar buiten, erg aardige bediening, alhoewel de taal lastig was konden ze toch uitleggen wat wat is.....

Very good wine list and an excellent surprise the mature white of the house. Generous servings, good table service, however lacks some politeness in service.There are no vegetarian options, but black-eyed pea migas and sautéed vegetables are a good option.
