Really nice cafe, delicous food and amazing staff. The young guy spoke English very well and could respond to any questions. Loved the second floor with the lovely view. As it was my first time in Peniche, this place was amazing.

After 5 times I decide to put my opinion… At first glance the place is warm, friendly and modern. But unfortunately far from being up to par once installed. You will have to wait a long time for someone to spot you and once spotted you will have to wait a long time for them to come and at that point you only have the menu. Much later I decide to go back to place an order and ask if they serve it on the terrace. Without smiling a woman tells me yes, And sends me back to my place, I wait…. Anyway, she comes and I order her, she comes back 15 minutes later. For a juice and a bowl of water for my dog and unfortunately the juice lid is rusty and a smell and liquid comes out. I signal him nicely and ask for a glass of wine and a cheese platter…. After 20 minutes I decide to go back to see what's going on with my order, the gentleman in his wrath responds reproachfully to me that they are all alone and that he has to cut the cheese ? (even though there are 3 of them )I tell him that it’s not normal to have such service and return to my seat. He finally arrives with the plate of cheese and without apology (when I see the plate and the cut slices I deduce that it took less than 2 minutes to prepare such a plate) Obviously the glass of wine is empty I tries to signal to the waiter and I can see who doesn't want to look in the direction... after 10 minutes of asking for attention and service (because we pay for that for service) I decide to get up and go paying without a glass of wine and without even finishing my plate. Of course I point out to him that I've been calling for a while, unfortunately he doesn't like it, and tells me that you have to order at the bar anyway, while the service confirms that it's on the terrace. (I notice that they are not organized but above all not very professional) I remind him that I am calling to pay him and I tell him that if he does not want I cannot do more. He panics and tells me to shut up and goes through some levels of politeness as he heads towards the terminal. He continues to speak very impolitely and so it's too much so I tell him to shut up too. He tells me that I shouldn't insult him, monopolizes the floor and shouts at me that I don't have to come anymore ?. I ask him if he is the boss, already knowing the answer that a boss would never behave like that.I'm not on vacation, I've been living here in Peniche for a few years and I'm a boss myself with 20 years of cooking and catering, and this situation was really strange and unacceptable.-wait too long- error on the single command-rust in my juice and on my glass-no excuse-and no respect for the restaurant and for the customers.Going to a restaurant or bar is an experience, you pay to be well served not just to be served!!

We had bad luck with weather during our stay in Peniche, but this cozy cafe saved our trip! Such friendly staff (who spoke good English), a varied menu, and incredible food at reasonable prices. We ate once for breakfast and once for dinner, and everything was delicious. Many great food options for kids. Such a warm and cozy setting and we really enjoyed our time there. Thank you!

I enjoyed trying one of the most delicious order at their cosy, yet history-oozing cafe, which was the salmon sandwich along with fresh oranges.Hats off to Leo (Leonardo) who was so wonderful and helpful to make our experience fulfilling at the cafe. This café is the perfect place for an affordable and delicious breakfast.Incredible sandwiches and it was set up in a very cute manner (most of the offer-boards were handwritten).I would say that the price per quality is excellent and the portion size is more than you could wish for. My German companions were satisfied as well - a feat, not everyone can achieve.5/5 can recommend. Come here if you want a wide selection of breakfast/ brunch and lunch items.
