The chicken is the best in Peniche! The staff serving the tables are young, friendly and helpful. The only thing to point out is the noise in the restaurant. The cheesecake is very good!!

If you like grilled chicken or pork ribs I can highly recommend to visit the Churrasqueria Moreira. Their excellent food and friendly staff made me go there 3 times during my two week stay. Highly recommend.

After spending a day with family at a place where I was visiting before going to the house where we were staying, we decided to look for a barbecue place on the way to buy chicken. This one appeared about 5 minutes from where we were. When I arrived and approached the counter a lady spoke to me from the kitchen thinking that I had an order, when I said that I didn't have an order, the lady approached the counter saying that they always advise you to call. I explained that I'm not from here and that I ended up at the restaurant using GPS, to which the lady replied that she had the number to call on the Internet. When I came across this situation I asked whether or not they had chicken for that moment, the lady said yes but that it would take about 15 to 20 minutes but the man who was in the kitchen promptly said that chickens were coming out and they would be ready in 5 minutes. From that moment on I was only attended to by the gentleman who actually ended up being quick. I didn't like the approach, much less the way I was treated. In addition to the exaggerated price for two chickens that, for me, have nothing more than the others.

Parking: You can park nearby without problem and completely free of charge. In any case, you can easily walk from the center of Peniche.

I just read all the reviews after my own experience and I’m very confused. To the person who said they should change the name to take away, needs to understand that in Europe, that is the correct way to order food and not dine in. Over priced? Not at all! Bad service? Not in my experience. I’m sure waitresses come and go so i can’t say much as far as who served them. The owner is very friendly and speaks English very well. His wife doesn’t speak any English but for being an immigrant, she speaks Portuguese very well.
My experience was as expected when going out for dinner. Food was good you could smell the food from outside the building which is a great sign. Service was good, we were a table of 6 and the place was full of customers.
Pricing was very good when you compare to quality and portion size. Best chicken I’ve had in a long time and I was soo happy to be able to order ribs the way they make it in North America. I am not one of those people who take pictures of their food before they eat and post it on social media, so my friends can see I’m not eating at home today. But i wish i could help this restaurant by posting those pictures on here for you to see.
The patio was great, after dinner we stuck around to enjoy the weather with some drinks. The owner would frequently join us later in the evening when they were slowing down and we enjoyed his conversations.
Final say, very friendly, clean, great food, good price definitely recommend this restaurant.

They even fail to cook a bitoque. Sour rice, half-cooked and half-fried eggs, and eggshells... I won't go there again. Expensive for what you receive. They just got the potatoes right, which is something I loved. But otherwise, anyway. Don't take babies here, the walls make screams echo everywhere.
Very attentive and helpful, they informed us very well in Spanish and if you like ribs I especially recommend them. In addition to being very clean and a generous side of rice and chips.
