Very friendly staff, but very expensive food and nothing well prepared. I ordered the squid kebab and it had no flavor whatsoever, it was dry and looked like chewing gum, it simply tasted burnt. We ordered a kids menu and the burger was undercooked and the sausage was not good. The rice tasted like plastic. We paid €30 per person and it was terrible, I don't recommend it. The only good thing I would mention again is the friendly staff.

We ordered two dishes of the day, stewed meat and tuna. Both staples, tough meat and frozen, undercooked fillet tuna. They brought us the appetizer twice even though we had already told them we didn't want it. We asked for the bill without dessert. Without a doubt the worst place in Portugal where we have eaten

In complete contrast with my previous review from a restaurant in Algarve, there was nothing we could fault at this place, starting from made feel welcome and nothing was too much effort to the fact that prices reflected the quality i can only recommend this reataurant very highly. Ordered a Mista de Peixe for 2 (mix of fish) and when asked if the serving was really enough for 2 fish eaters, the chef came out with a tray of what would the serving be, showing us exactly what would the fish used. Having a teen fussy eater also being taken care of by giving her enough options for her to be able to join us at dinner was amazing also. Definitely will return to Peniche and this will be a must return place.

First all starters are offered after which you need to make an active choice which ones you'd like to keep on your table. The main dish was a little too quickly served, but the kind staff put it back on the grill after finishing the first course. The grilled swordfish fish is simple offered (with little salad and some potatoes), but very nice prepared by taste.

We were 5 friends on our route through Portugal. We were looking for arroz al tumbal that we remembered very pleasantly from another trip to a neighboring and friendly country and it was SUPERIOR. The staff was very friendly and the cook who came to greet us, an excellent cook but above all a great woman that we will not forget. Highly recommended!

I must have been unlucky! The prawns in the starters were definitely spoiled. So I love shrimp! We were a group of 9 people, we ordered 5 different types of dishes. The squid and octopus were ok. The fish was supposed to be fresh on a Tuesday, but the fish slices were not presentable. The vegetables were cooked without salt, and when I asked why, I said it couldn't be! But then he said that the cook does this to “maintain the flavor of the food”. Believe me, it tastes horrible! The wine, squid, octopus and coffee were great. The rest was “horrible”. In the end I ordered a baked apple. After 3 minutes, they took the trouble to come and lie at the table, saying that the apples had just been baked, as I had just come from the bathroom, and had seen the apples on the display. After 5 minutes they were gone, and the apples were hot from the microwave. Oh God!! In the end the bill came with additional things that we didn't order. Luckily our group was excited and we took it in stride. One thing is for sure: I will never go to this restaurant again. I wish everyone a good day
