I went to Joel's tavern on a recommendation. Expectations were high. The space is pleasant and beautiful. The service was average. Employees without friendliness or a smile. The food, which was traditional dishes, cod, steak and grilled chicken for children, was not exceptional considering the excessive price. It was a disappointment. I don't recommend it and I won't be returning.

A delicious place for anyone coming to Peniche! We didn't have a reservation and the staff was amazing! We ate broken eggs and cod and everything was very well prepared! We love it!
