“Fabulous restaurant.

Small restaurant hidden in the streets of Pera, completely distant from the classic tourist restaurants of Armacao.
A good choice of dishes, absolutely of quality and with fair prices. The kindness and niceness of all the staff was fantastic, both in welcoming us and in helping us with explanations of the various dishes in both Italian and English.
The homemade desserts are also fabulous.
Spotlessly clean and welcoming.
Absolutely recommended, especially for those looking for something authentic away from the confusion.

“Had dinner here last night as it’s a 5 minute walk from where we’re staying. Fabulous. Off the beaten track and very small but food was excellent. We had lobster tails and lamb cutlets with homemade mint sauce. Delicious and reasonably priced. Not many vegetarian options but we’re not vegetarian so not an issue.“

“A wonderful place. Located in a small bay that empties pleasantly in the evening, you can sit on the terrace right on the beach with a view of the sea. The service was always attentive and the staff were very friendly and fond of children. The kids got two helpings of the children's spaghetti bolo. The menu is clear, but there is always fresh grilled fish that you can choose from on display. Grilled calamari, sea bream, red snapper and much more are on the plate. The fish are filleted by the table service. You can easily go from beach day to dinner here in swim shorts and shorts. Very relaxed, simple, delicious - that's all I need on vacation. The prices are fair and, starting at €60/kg for fresh fish, are typically cheap in the area.
There is a kiosk window where you can stock up on small drinks, snacks and ice cream during the day.
Absolute recommendation for a simple, relaxed, friendly and very tasty dinner where the kids can play and kick on the beach in between :-)
Reservation recommended, just do it by phone. Cash only!

The walk down the relatively steep and dark staircase can be a little daunting but worth it. Wednesday November 15th was the last day open for the season. Otherwise we would gladly have visited again. Opening again somtime early next year. The sunset picture is taken before we went down the staircase. It seems that google this is part of a hotel which it is not. It might have been associated with Holiday Inn nextdoors. The hotel is closed for refurbishment and will open later under new management.“

“Small restaurant that was recommended to us, we didn't have a booking and staff were lovely and very accommodating, they were turning people away as it was so busy. Steak was amazing and reasonably priced, service was quick and the steaks were cooked to perfection just how we all wanted it. Best meal of our holiday and we would 100% recommend!

And for dishes, a falafel burger and sea bream, everything is fresh and seasoned perfectly!

We might as well tell you that we had a blast!!
10/10 a treat of fresh produce and exclusively homemade compositions!!

“We had a truly delicious meal here and perhaps our best dining experience during our 16-day trip to Portugal. Prince was our server and he did a very deft job. Calm, friendly, patient and professional. We had the chateaubriand for 2 people together with the Moinhos do
Coa red wine. We ordered spinach and fried vegetables separately. The bread with all kinds of dips was also very nicely presented and tasty. Unfortunately we ran out of room for dessert. Good reason to go back again.?“

“What a find!! We have been coming to Carvoeiro for over 14 years and this has to be our best find. Andre is a superb host, attentive to the needs of his guests interacting well with the whole family. All the staff team are friendly and efficient. The menu both at lunch and in the evening is limited, however it doesn't need to be anything more. The food is delicious and very reasonably priced. My husband enjoyed the best steak he has ever had, and my 11 year old loved the seabass. You will not be disappointed, and we will definitely be paying future visits!!“

“Perfect spot for dinner with excellent service (English speaking) and great food. Most tourist places are too noisy for decent conversations. Pepper steak was about a 10-oz portion and so tender. The best steak ever. Ordered it medium rare. Could barely finish it. The chicken filet with mushroom sauce was delectable, also too much and took half as take-away. The sea bass is fresh and tasty, and guest was so stuffed eating it all. The fish filet special is breaded, not grilled. Be sure to ask server which you prefer. My favorite is the sardine pate and amazing olives. Their bread uses a rye starter for incredible texture. 5 thumbs up!

Parking: The street narrows so best to park up the hill for free parking by the municipal building. 10-minute leisurely pace up the hill.“

OS Gregos didn't fulfil my desires, however, the food was good and the staff were really friendly.

Ordered Gyros, and while I was expecting it to come out with a Pitta - it came out as shredded chicken on a plate with Salad and Chips. It was nice, but not what I was expecting.

My son had Bream, and absolutely loved it! He's only 9 and having the head still attached didn't put him off at all, he ate every bite!“

“We went for a long walk one day and on the way back saw the A board outside saying Vegan pizza so had to walk back in the evening to try one. It was very busy and we hadn’t booked but they managed to fit us two in thankfully. We just had a basic vegan pizza covered in delicious tomato sauce and various vegetables. One of the young ladies gave us a choice of what we wanted and then went and took the dough, kneeded it next to the large pizza oven before covering it….so it was all very fresh and cooked to perfection.
