My 2nd review. I love the tapas at Ela’s particularly the shrimp, muscles, even the seasoned tuna pate with bread which they offer, the clams, smoked alheira, etc. good wines selections. The shame is that the service has been bad for last almost 2 yrs. Nobody trains service people here, the obvious of making the best of a trip to a table, clean another, get more than one order, etc. there was a lady who tries hard by the bar tenders are young & inexperienced. They serve the line at the bar before those who arrived earlier to eat at table or bar, because sure, that’s faster, but it’s ridiculous to see than serve 3-5 people before they do 2 crucial things, give you the menu & ask what you want to drink. If they serve those outside beers in between, 1-2 people, bring you your drink, ask if you had a chance to choose from the menu, put order in, serve another 2 beers… you see! You can serve in ORDER of arrival, make everyone happy, and balance the tables &bar seats with outside beers… or have 2 bar tenders, 1 exclusively for outside & 1 for inside, and a waiter/ess for tables… be pleasant, always greet people who come to the bar or sit, even if you’re busy… do things practical ways… never do a trip just for 1 thing, 1 table, it’s possible to clean a table & give menus you brought, get an order from another table and collect some glasses or dishes on the way back … basic waitressing! Never arrogant! The customer is almost always right, especially if they point out they saw other who came later be served 1st, apologize, offer some olives, when people have the menu & or drinks, they’re already happy! Good views, and I still go back for the food and mistreatment lol The cook actually knew exactly what I was talking about! Nice chap!
