This place is a SCAM. They bring you bread and smoked ham and they won't tell you it will be charged on your bill. Our waiter told us to their best food at the restaurant is the prawns and the lobster and insisted on getting that, we got the food and when the bill came we were shocked, it was 253€ for 2 people. Plus the food wasn't the best. I'm sure there are better quality food with chapter food elsewhere.
Little food and very dirty

i would give 0 stars if I could. I want to strongly caution fellow tourists against visiting this restaurant based on my recent experience. We were drawn to this establishment on the recommendation of a friend from Lisbon, and I regret to say that our visit was a complete disappointment. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that something was amiss. While we intended to order from the standard dish menus, our waiter was adamant that we examine the fresh fish options. Despite our clear and repeated protests, he insisted, asserting that this was the norm for everyone. What followed was an uncomfortable trip to the front of the restaurant, where the waiter picked fish for us, despite our clear preference against it. This aggressive upselling tactic was a major turn-off. The financial shock came when our bill arrived, totaling a staggering €400 for just lobster, clams, and langoustine. The consistent delivery of bread and other starters to our table, which we didn't request, only added to the sense of being taken advantage of. Beyond the financial aspects, the quality of the food was a letdown. It's truly disheartening that such an establishment, which is clearly targeting tourists, falls so short in delivering a positive dining experience. What's even more disconcerting is that our Portuguese friend, who recommended us, revealed that they had never been treated in such a manner in this restaurant. It appears that these practices are selectively imposed on tourists. In summary, I would wholeheartedly advise against dining here. This restaurant appears to have a clear agenda of exploiting tourists, offering subpar food, and employing aggressive tactics to inflate bills. I implore fellow travelers to seek out more authentic and welcoming dining options in Lisbon to truly savor the local cuisine and hospitality, instead of falling victim to such a disappointing experience.
We were told this was a good place so trusted the waiter who was recommended. He told us we should order “the best” and we agreed in full trust. There were just 2 of us and the seafood platter had cold lobster and prawns and some tiny clams, enough for at least 4 people. It was mediocre at best. With a bottle of house green wine we were shocked at the bill for 310 euros!! He saw us coming and we were stupid enough to not ask for the menu and pricing, but still, it was unconscionable how he took advantage and then asked for a 20% tip!! when standard in Portugal is 10% if great. Be careful if you go there. Lesson learned for us.
Good food, friendly and attentive waiters.Good quality chicken and very reasonable portions.I consider it a bit exaggerated to have paid €3.60 for 2 patties and 2 dumplings, which the waiter placed on the table as a suggestion...

Oh my this place is busy. And it's easy to see why.. book if you can.. Amazing prawns and fish.. friendly service and good value.. the reviews are right super place to eat
Don’t think they want tourists in this local restaurant. We went from a recommendation from our Airbnb host. Reserved a table but we’re given two menus on arrival; a local menu and a tourist menu. Very different menus with no plates of the day showing on the tourist menu. We ordered off the local menu and the plates which were good value and really tasty however they gave us cured ham and bread at the start which were 14 euro. We didn’t order it and contested the price which they waivered. I wouldn’t go unless you are confident in asking for the local menu and google translating what is on offer. Our bill came to 60 euro, 5 beers, three plates of the day (two fish one pork with clams and prawns) which was great value.

We were recommended the place because locals enjoy it and low prices. What a mistake, the waiter Pedron guided us recommending this and that "without sharing the cosks x kg" of the items. When the check came - wow 227 Euros for two people, arm robbery. We may have ordered what to our eyes appeal and the waiter suggested but, not having given us a clue of what some prices were was unethical, abusive and clearly taking advantage of us. He offered a green wine without asking, we declined, we ask for two beer cañitas and kept on bringin them without ordering... sad
