The food prepared by the chef was outstanding. The quality of the sauces elevated good ingredients to a high level. We really enjoyed everything about the evening.
Good Portuguese restaurant. Creative dishes, good wines and top service. Parking is available . Worth repeating!
We learnt from our waiter that Tasca means pretty much like “a hole in the wall “ in Portuguese and Jota means J. It was a delightful dinning experience for me and my wife. The food was fresh and tasty, and the presentation was fabulous. Worth two glasses of wine, we only paid about 50 euros. Highly recommend to anyone who visits Lagos!
I had steak, absolutely beautiful, staff were brilliant, and at 16 euro for 300 gram steak you can't complain. I don't understand why someone would comment on here about staff not wanting to work, they never stopped when I was there and couldn't have been more helpful.
Always the next level. Never fails. Brought my friends for a golf trip to Lagos instead of usual family and told them we need to eat at Tasca. I received so many compliments after the meal. The compliments should be with the hosts and chefs. Always an amazing experience
Beautiful and tasty dishes and very friendly service in a cozy setting!
We had excellent, friendly, knowledgeable service and a delightful meal of tapas. The prawns were fantastic. Be sure to get bread to mop up the delicious sauce! And you will need bread for the goat cheese. They also have a nice wine selection. It was very lovely!
The good points were the restaurant was nice and our main courses were excellent. We didn't get the house choice of couvert as we ordered but only bread which was disappointing. We only realised when our main courses arrived so it was too late to question. The bill only charged for bread so maybe it was a misunderstanding. We didn't stay for dessert as a huge parry of men had arrived and, although they were not rowdy, they were loud in the small room so we could barely hear ourselves talk. On another evening our review would probably be different.
Lovely food, great choice and excellent service.
The food was excellent, we took different tapas and main courses, everything was super good. The service was also very fine, the only thing would be the big noise of the fan of the open kitchen and the noise of everyone but overall that was super fine. I would recommend if you wish to try good Portuguese cuisine !!

The best restaurant in Lagos. These folks are the most knowledgeable foodies in town. Don’t miss out!!
Extremely tasty food - all five of us thought the same, despite having different dishes. The only downside was that it was a bit noisy with the kitchen air conditioner and the loud conversations, which may just mean they need to invest in some sound deadening materials. Highly recommended.
This place has really good fish if you’re a fish lover, for a reasonable price. If your not into that they also have pasta. The restaurant owner is so so so nice and helpful to talk too. Definitely recommend + the sangria is good.
Every time I’m in Lagos I make it a point to eat here. Food is always on point, carefully prepared, beautifully presented and of top quality. Consistently delicious with food value. .
Service slow since they only had one waitress. Appetizers were good but unfortunately all the main courses were not well prepared at all. Filet tough, pork belly all fat & they did not put sauce on the fish dish only because I said no clams. Instead of the chef informing the waitress to tell me they would prepare the sauce without clams they decide to bring the fish dry. Luckily, the waitress noticed the pork belly & they refunded us.
