Very solid Portuguese style food. Lots of grilled meats and fish. Outstanding service and prices. Well worth the wait if you do not get there early. They do not take reservations but your kids will love the desserts.
A warm and friendly family owned and run restaurant. Great local food, outstanding value and delightful service. As it happens the President of Portugal agrees as he too visited and enjoyed recently - photos on the wall to prove it. A very heart lunch for 4 adults and a bottle of lovely local wine came in at 81 Euros. Highly recommended
Great food! Tio Manel actually served us our food! Great house wine per my wife and wonderful service! We highly recommend Tio Manel’s restaurant!
(Translated by Google) House full of regulars but still they didn't stop paying attention to passersby. Careful regional food and attentive service. I recommend(Original)Casa cheia de habituais mas ainda assim não deixaram de dar atenção a passantes. Comida regional cuidada e atendimento atencioso. Recomendo
This is a Portuguese traditional restaurant. Except salad their are no other vegetarian options. They tried hard for us but the outcome was very unsatisfying
Had a wonderful meal of octopus and cod accompanied by "house branded" Rose wine. A little spot tucked away from the busy main street that offers tasty local cuisine. I think the locals enjoy it and the service was efficient and friendly. We would return again to try new dishes.
This is a popular restaurant. The food is traditional, which is what we wanted. We ordered a bottle of the house wine, which was excellent for the price. We each tried tried one of the dishes of rye day: redfish and veal with vegetables. They were quite good!
My friends and I had an amazing time at Restaurante Tio Manel. The server spoke perfect English and the food was very very good. I have eaten at many other restaurants in the regions that were much more expensive and not half as delicious as this place. If you are in Peso da Regua, you must stop here!
